I have a project I need to complete. Basically I need a TM clone metal AK receiver made for a full stock. Not the full folding stock, skeleton stock, Romanian folding stock, or under folder, the fixed SOLID full stock. I've checked boneyards and they're all sold out. As long as the receiver isn't broken, I'm interested in what you got. Just shoot me a PM and we can go from there.

For those of you that didn't go to AMS's OP ESR19, you sure missed out on one hell of a good time! Here's my first video installment from all the footage I got out there. Unfortunately my SD card filled up litterly minutes before we went on our DAM mission.....

Sorry that it doesn't have a flashy intro or anything. I'm still trying to learn all the in's and out's of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11....

Classifieds / WTS: USMC MTV Plate Carrier Coyote Brown
« on: March 07, 2013, 01:36:23 PM »
Up for sale is my 100% real USMC Modular Tactical Vest or 'MTV' plate carrier in Coyote Brown. I've decided in favor of a smaller PC because I'm 100% on board with my HSGI battle belt as my first line and this PC is just too big to be wearing with that belt. It would be an absolutely fantastic PC for someone who loads all their gear and pouches onto their PC. This PC is amazingly comfortable and even with all the plates and soft armor in it, it doesn't seem to weigh much at all once you put it on. I've only used it a couple times myself. I'm not including any pouches with it. Will come with MOLLE cumberbund and side SAPI pouches. COMES WITH SOFT ARMOR! I'd like to keep the soft armor that's in it, but it's proprietary to this PC, so it won't do me much good once the PC is gone. Will come with the soft armor neck protector. I checked ebay and these seem to be going for ~$350 with no armor included. I'm going to ask $400 OBO. Seriously, if you don't like the price, just shoot me an offer. The worst I can say is 'no'. Buyer pays shipping. I could even deliver it to OP Bright Rain 7 at the beggining of April. If I receive no PM's on this by the end of the week, you'll have to fight with the tards on eBay for it....

Classifieds / WTS: HSGI SGPB and more...
« on: February 17, 2013, 12:23:54 AM »
**I can deliver items to OP ESR19 to save you some coin on shipping, otherwise buyer pays shipping. First one to throw down the cash gets the item.**

For sale, HSGI Sure Grip Padded Belt. Easily the best battle belt on the market. The inner lining is very padded and comfortable along with gripping your body so that suspenders are not necessary at all. Decided to get one size bigger belt for some added rows of MOLLE. Nothing wrong with the belt at all. Had it for about a year now. Size is Med which I believe fits 30-34" waist and has 20 rows of MOLLE. It's also in everyone's favorite...MULTICAM! Does NOT come with any pouches or rigger's/duty belt. New ones sell for $75, I'm only asking $55.

Next I have an OD 'Aplha' helmet from PT Helmets. Size XXL with side rails and velcro with GoPro camera mounth and goggle retention in the rear. If you have a big head, this helmet is for you. Asking $40.

Next I have an Emerson CB Coyote Brown CP Air Frame replica. The helmet is confortable but just a little too small for me. Has side rails and is drilled  for an NVG mount. Only worn once. Asking $40.

After Action Reviews / OP Mishko AAR
« on: October 21, 2012, 12:43:44 PM »
I was happy to finally get to play this OP after it was postponed due to heat a couple months back. The turnout was quite good even considering several players from both sides had to drop out. I really don't think we could've asked for much better weather either. This was also my first OP to be the CO of an entire team. Granted the whole team was barely larger than the average squad size at a MilSim OP, I'd rather do all my lesson learning in that aspect on a smaller scale than run the possibility of doing poorly on a full scale MilSim OP. Thank you to the SA admins for granting me that oportunity!

I think things kicked off rather smoothly and there weren't really any hangups at chrono or anything which does happen when you only have one chrono and around 40 or more players. I was lucky to have all the D9 members that showed up to be under my command along with members of ARDA who we know well from a CQB store in Hiwasse AR and a couple faces from my first airsoft team ever, Avi and Alien from JTAG. So needless to say, for the most part, we had all played with one another at some point in the past. On our way out in the duece I ahd to leave a whole fire team at a pre-determined point which left our tru attacking force at only about 10 players. Upon game on I split the two remaining fire teams up and started hitting objectives from both sides. Things were mostly quiet until we got into the 'bridge area' which was a major choke point for both teams. There was a good deal of plastic slung in this area, but through planned manuevering and great communication with me and amungst the players we captured the bridge area. For some reason, no one from either side had tried to win the trust and aliance of the Albanian civilians, so I offered them an MRE for their help which KINDA won their trust. From there we kept pressing on into the village of Mishko which was horrible due to it's location in the middle of a field in the midst of several burms. This made attacking difficult as the enemy could literally see us coming from about 200yds away. I again chose to 'divide and conquer' having one larger fire team cut in along the tree line as a small fire team including myself attacked from the open. This is wear r-hop shined it's brightest. Many of our players had it while little to none of the enemy forces did, so we used our range to our advantage. Eventually we took Mishko but not before Chucky popped out from one of the burms and shot me in the leg. Good shot, man! Unfortunately our victory was somewhat short lived...

We took a break for lunch. The admins were excellent about having availible water for all players and reminding them to stay hydrated. After this break we reset as best we could leaving only the ~5 players we had left in the Mishko area to defend against the entire NATA force hitting them while the rest of us started all the way back at our main base. Upon hearing the game on air horn, SoNorUs and I jogged as far as we could to get to back up our forces. I had to stop and re-do my head set but by the time we had reached the bridge area, all of our forward players were walking back with their dead rags on. From then on it was slow battle near the tree line that swayed back and forth several times before we finally broke out and set foot in Mishko once again. As NATO made a hard push back, the game was called as soon as their boots were back in Mishko.

To all the in game admins....you sneaky *&%$@#....you kept us busy and on our toes though. To all of my team, you guys did a great job. Not only did you fight hard, you communicated well which showed in our movements and abilities to take ground or hold it. To NATO, you guys made it a fun and sometimes frustrating day for us. Don't take that worng though, the frustration was out of either taking ground from you or trying to keep you from taking it from us. You guys put up one hell of a fight all day long.

Another thing I feel like I should note. Bash, Joe, and myself just attended OP Helium Project 2 down in Ft. Worth TX put on by FAA (Fast Action Airsoft). There were supposedly experienced MilSimers down there, and this was truely a full scale MilSim OP. Through no fault of Jockey or any of the other owners of FAA, there was a lot of players on both teams that truely lacked integrity down there that did things that while technically not against the rules, were total 'dick moves' and made our whole experience down there much less enjoyable than it could've been. I know for a fact that a lot of those guys weren't new to this by any means and yet they still chose to play the way they did. At OP Mishko I know there were also several relatively new players, but overall I saw much more sportsmanship and integrity at Mishko than I saw at Helium ten fold. That's saying something, beleive me. ALL of you guys made Mishko a great OP through how you played and conducted yourselves. For that, I thank you and encourage you to continue to be honest, sportsman-like players that will truely set you out from the crowd later down the road.

Thank you to Bagel, Joe, Cody, and Delt for working on this OP and helping out during it to provide us with a good time! We from D9 always have a good time with you Springfield guys weather on the field or getting owned at SoGo. We look forward to the next OP with you guys!

Classifieds / Metal's big gear sale
« on: September 28, 2012, 07:44:26 AM »
As I'm doing with my guns, I'm cleaning out my unused gear. Some of it is premium stuff, most of it is Condor and most is coyote brown.

First is a Condor MCR1 MOLLE chest rig. Great rig if you want to stay light weight and minimal. Asking $15.

Next is a set of 4x BackHawk STRIKE double M14 mag pouches. With the velcro divider removed, they can easily hold 3x M16/M4 mags or 6x MP5 mags and possibly 3 AK74 style mags. These things sell new for almost $50 each, but I bought them used myself, so I'd take $15ea or $50 for the set.

Next I have some 5.11 VTAC pouches. One is a double pistol mag pouch and the other is a small dump/utility pouch. Both are in CB. Asking $10ea.

Here is a pair of Wiley's X CAG-1 Hybrid gloves. Black/tan in color. These things are literally brand new. I was sent the wrong size by mistake. These bad boys are made in the good ole' US of A and my OD ones are literally the best pair of tactical gloves I've ever owned. These sell new for around $100 but I have absolutely NO use for them so I'm only gonna ask $35.

This is the very first piece of MOLLE gear I ever owned. US military MOLLE II utility belt in DCU. I got it brand new and used it very little. Comes with a double M4 mag pouch and utility pouch. Asking $15.

Bring on the China! I have several M4/M16 mag pouches for sale here. 3x double pouches that  will hold 4 mags each for a total of 12x mags. I also have 2x double MOLLE mag pouches that hold 2x mags each for a total of 4x mags. Asking $5ea.

2x Condor untility pouches. One is verticle style and the other is horizontal. Both are in CB. Also pictured is an un-named double pistol mag pouch and an un-named double P90/UMP mag pouch.Utility pouches-$5ea, pistol mag pouch-$4, P90 mag pouch-$5.

Now here are a couple holsters and grenade pouches. First is an OD Condor drop leg pouch that is adjustable to fit individual pistols. The other holster is a CB Condor standard plane flap type holster. The grenade pouches are all Condor and have been moded to hold tornadoes and Thunder B's, and one is a double pouch and the other is a single. Double flashbang-$7, single flashbang-$5, OD dropleg-$10-CB flap holster-$5.

Here are a couple of hydro carriers, both without bladders. First one is some kind of Camelbak knock off. The next one is a standard Condor CB one with shoulder straps. Unknown make carrier-$5, Condor CB carrier-$10.

Lastly a Condor OD chest rig. 3x mag pouch areas, two utility pouch areas, radio pouch, and map area. Not glamorous, but functional. Would make a great rig for a first timer or some one playing an 'insurgent' role. Asking $10.

Classifieds / Metal's big gun sale
« on: September 26, 2012, 04:36:40 AM »
I need to 'trim the fat' and sell some guns that I don't really use anymore. Also I'm looking to having only close replica's of guns I have for realsies plus maybe a few personal favorites. Here goes.....

First is my KWA ATP. It has been used several times and has always been a good pistol. I had 3 mags for it, but managed to loose one at ORY, so there are only two mags and one of the mags is from a KWA G18C but still works just fine in this pistol. At some point I managed to loose the factory rear sight and KWA's pro shop was fresh out of replacements, so I ordered and installed a rear sight for a G series. It works, just sticks past the edges of the slide a bit. Also, I removed the HORRIBLE factory thread adaptor and installed an after marked one. Asking $110 OBO.

Next is a CYMA AK105. It may be a CYMA on the outside, but it has the guts of a G&G RK103 ($280 gun). Last chrono put it around 380fps with a .20g. Has a 6.04 tightbore with G&G metal hopup unit. Rear sling mount has been moved to the left side for added ease and comfort for right handed shooters, but prevents the stock from fully folding. Wired to deans. Also the tab that holds the stock collapsed was broken then removed. Asking $165 OBO. *does not come with mag*

Classic Army Sportsline P90. Not much to say on this one. Hasn't been upgraded relatively speaking. Comes with EO Tech clone sight. The battery compartment of the sight was broken in a CQB game but the sight still works just fine. The butt plate got kinda f***ed up by my little brother, but still locks closed. I believe there are 3x 68rd midcaps for this gun. Last chrono put it at 300fps. Asking $125 OBO.

Lastly...for now....is my WE Tech P08 Luger 4". What can I say, it's a Luger. Never fielded. One of the mags leaks a little at the fill valve the last I checked. Cool little replica to be sure, just never found a reason to use it. Comes with 2x 18rd mags. Asking $90 OBO.

More guns to come in the next few days. There actually are a few trades I'd be interested in. G&G RK47 pneumatic blowback, G&G RK103, 1911 Hicapa, KWA USP45 full size, or a KWA TT33.

Classifieds / WTS: WE M14 GBBR DMR
« on: September 25, 2012, 05:35:24 AM »
As much as I truely love this gun I have to admit that I don't use it as much as I'd like as my playing style has changed a good deal in the past year or so and this thing needs to go to some other good home where it can make another player happy. This GBBR has been upgraded with an RA Tech 6.03 tightbore barrel and a gree H nub bucking. This gun has also been modified to fire semi auto only and cannot be converted back to fire in select fire modes unless parts are replaced. The reason for the semi auto mod is for it chronoing at ~465fps with .20g's even after the initial 'hot shots' out of a freshly filled mag. Comes with a 4-16x44mm mildot illuminated reticle scope and a brand new Condor OD 3 point sling. This gun has been fielded several times but been well taken care of. Also comes with 9x mags. That's right, 9 mags. Only 3 mags have been converted to hold 30rds and the rest all hold only 20rds. All mags have real 7.62 Magpuls. NONE of the mags leak and the rifle still fuctions great. I've taken out targets at ~75yds (250ft) several times with this thing and I would suggest shooting nothing lighter than .28g's in this. Brand new, all the parts, mags, and gun would be around $800 or higher. I'm going to start the price out at $575 for everything OBO. I will be attending OP Helium Project and can arrange drop off there, otherwise the buyer will be paying for shipping.

Classifieds / WTS: HSS Gear Weesatch Plate Carrier +more
« on: September 19, 2012, 05:02:35 AM »
**First off, if no drop off can be arranged, BUYER PAYS SHIPPING! Second, not really looking for any trades. Third, I will entertain offers as long as they're not totally stupid.'
I have decided to sell off my HSS Gear Weesatch modular plate carrier. The ONLY reason I'm selling this is because it's just too big for me, meaning it doesn't fit correctly. This is easily the most versitile piece of kit I own. It has integrated pouches in the front that are supposed to be able to hold 12x M16/M4 magazines along with 2x utility pouches on the sides. I'd like to not that the magazine pouch area can hold ANY kind of magazine. Each pouch area has a velcro pull tab to keep the mags or whatever in the pouch. I've carried all kinds of grenades and even pistols in these pouches. The utility pouches can serve very well as dump pouches and can be accessed by opening the velcro flap or by a double elastic opening in the top. This rig is currently in an 'X Harness' chest rig type configuration with the upper bib folded down. the rear pannel can easily be added to make a very breathable plate carrier or you can fold the bib back up along with the rear pannel for maximum MOLLE real estate. The magazine pouch area can even be velcro-ed shut by using the flaps to hold the mags in, thus changing the rig to a flat front pannel to which you can add any kind of dedicated pouches to. This rig can house medium or large SAPI plates and the rear pannel even has an internal separation flap that I suppose could be used to separate a plate and a hydro bladder. This rig was made far before HSS originally went out of buisness and is not in relation to the new 'J Tech' name which is made overseas. This is the REAL DEAL stuff. I'd really like to get $80 out of it.

Next are a bunch of various Condor OD pouches that I have no need for anymore.
Fold out dump pouch-$7
Double 40 mike pouch-$6
Admin pouch with integrated pistol mag pouch-$8
Small radio pouch-$4
Single M16/M4 pouch-$5
Utility pouch-$6
2x Flashbang pouches (modded to accept Tornado grenades)$4ea
Hydration pouch (not pictured)-$12

Classifieds / Custom M4 and KWA M4 CQB W/RIS
« on: June 11, 2012, 01:47:11 PM »
I am slowly but surely getting completely out of the whole M sereis scene to make way for cool new gear or far superior AK variants. Right now I need to pay for a new hydro carrier, so more M4's have to go.

First up is a custom M4 I built for my little brother who is now in the USAF and has no time to play (and is stationed in GA). It features a full metal body. I believe it's one of the aluminum bodies you can get on Evike with the USMC logo on the left side of the receiver. I am unsure what brand of motor is in it, but it's not too bad. Gearbox is primarily AIM Top. AIM gears, 8mm stainless steel bushings, metal spring guide, M100 spring, full cylinder, AIM full metal tooth piston, AIM ported piston head with #14 0-ring installed, o-ring air nozzle. The last chrono reading had it right at 375fps. I am not totally sure that I corrected the AOE on this one, but I think I did. It also has a one piece hopup unit and a polished G&G 363mm tightbore barrel installed. Wired to deans in the handguard. I also installed a flip down front sight from an old S-System I had in pieces. Past the front sight, the outer barrel piece IS removeable (also has '5.56mm NATO' stamped on it) allwing for silencers and what not to be attached without greatly extending the overall length of the gun. And of coarse you got the whole tan/black contrast thing going on. Used this thing last at OP B4L without hickup and is still chuggin'. Asking $165 for it. Buyer pays shipping. **I am attending OP Gaughan Memorial at TAB on June 16th. I can bring it with me for a shipping free drop off.**

Next I have my battle worn (literally) Gen 1 KWA M4 CQB. In the time I've owned it, I've had some one else crack the gearbox (gen1 2G gearbox) due to trying to clear a jam by fringing it out, and after replacing that one, I craked the gearbox again(another old 2G gearbox) with a 30rps+ high ROF set up. I have a new-ish complete KWA 2GX gearbox that I am ready to drop in. I still need to install the original A2 style motor grip and do a couple other things, so the pic of this one will be up tonight when I get back from work. It's wired to the rear and wired to deans. I moded the body to get it rear wired and to accept a G&G buffer tube with a G&G black crane stock. It will also include a free floating RIS already installed. Oh, and I also installed one of the newer KWA hopup units in it. Asking $200.

The 2GX gearbox came out of a KWA SR12, so with the current cylinder setup you could easily use up to a 510mm inner barrel without experiencing any ill effects. I have the SR12 outer barrel and mock gas block and a 510mm barrel that can go with the gun if I get my asking price.

DIY / KJW KP07 1911 MEU Trigger Adjustment
« on: June 10, 2012, 03:38:16 PM »
As most of you know, I am in love with pistols despite my love for AK's and other rilfes. After OP Broken Home and this weekend at Brandon's CQB Range 3 of my pistols had gotten a fair amount of dirt and dust in them. Some to the point the slides were locking occasionally without being out of ammo. So naturally I set up to do some in depth cleaning. Before I get into the main subject of this topic I would like to say that I used some keyboard duster spray to blow out dust and dirt out of my smaller parts to a great degree of success. The little straw allows you to really get down in the cracks to get the junk out and I would recomend it to anyone. Anyways, upon cleaning and polishing the insides of my 226 and ATP, I started in on my KJW 1911 MEU. I noticed an extremely small hex key set screw in one of the skelotonized holes in the trigger. I've noticed it before but easily forgot about it or didn't think anything of it. But today I was already tinkering, so I was in a tinkering mood and decided to fiddle with the set screw to find out if it really did anything or not. I believe the hex key wrench I used was a 1/16", so it will be a pretty small one. I started backing it out and would intermitantly test my trigger pull. As I loosened the screw more, my length of travel got slightly longer and a little spongier. So I then took the screw in the other direction. I eventually got it so far down the the head of the screw wasn't visible from the side of the gun. Eventually the trigger couldn't travel back far enough to release the hammer sear and wouldn't fire. I again started backing the screw out little by little and checking the trigger often. Keep in mind that the KJW 1911 MEU has a two stage trigger like many military rifles. What this means is that if you pull the trigger VERY slowly you almost immediately feel the trigger engage but upon further pull it will suddenly hit a point of greater resistance which is the 'second stage' and the point the breaks over to release the hammer or firing pin. I at one time had my second stage on my KP07 to where it only needed a stiff breeze more added to the pressure on my trigger finger to fire the gun. I like light triggers, but not that light, and especially not that light on a gun I would use in a combat situation. I backed the screw out just a tad bit more and I think I'm around 2-3lbs extra pressure at second stage which is freaking AWESOME especially on an airsoft replica that only costs a little over $100. I've tried it out actually shooting and at the point I have mine at it is 100% reliable and consistant. In fact during any kind of rife that isn't extremely slow (like sighting in or shooting for group), it's like the second stage is non-exhistant.

After Action Reviews / AAR: OP Broken Home
« on: May 28, 2012, 01:41:53 PM »
Going into this OP I was really curious how things were going to turn out seeing Frost, JP, and Biglar at the helm instead of some of the previous years' OP producers, but I knew I would NOT be disapointed.

Some of Delta 9 showed up at the AO on Thursday to set up camp and such. By Friday when I arrived, my team mates had already been out helping setting up stationary CCP tents on the AO. I arrived soon enough to only lend a hand with one. While we were doing that, Jager, Grendel, and some of the other Regulators were helping with the 'Duce Tours'. So...CoST PLT1, HOOOAAAHH!!!

Delta 9 got up around 6am to start gearing up even though some of us were up past midnight prepping most of our gear. I had a nice MRE breakfast and was goodtogo. Despite having several members on our roster having to skip the OP due to health reasons, we were still in good standings (in my opinion) with about 9 per squad in CoST PLT1 squads 1-2 and 1-3. Pre-game rally happened pretty much right on time unlike most OPs that have it sometimes 30 minutes to occasionally an hour late. Breifing was short, sweet, and to the point due to the genius of doing small safety briefings the previous day every hour. Delta 9 was given orders from Rocketman to head into the 'valley' area by St. Mariaglese (spl?) and dig in to prep for an invasion/ambush. Come to find out USF was invading from several different points and if we failed our mission of holding the USF oppessive war machine back, our bretheren in Colleville would be fighting a battle on two fronts. Not long after game on squad 1-2 heard the faint rumble of the duce's diesel engines tromping down the road towards us. Not long after that we heard shots being fired. Within minutes the USF was upon us with furry. Squad 1-2, who was down in the main valley, bounded back for a tactical retreat and the USF ignorantly and blindly took the bait. While I had to return to camp to retrive a more relible primary weapon, squad 1-2 drew the USF into a meat grinder trap lead by squads 1-1 and 1-3 from either side of the valley. Upon my return squad 1-1 and 1-2 were on the west hillside giving the USF forces a literal kick in the giblets. Also, the USF wasn't paying any attention at all to their rear, where I was. I quickly moved in slaying all USF without red rags out with my trusty AK74U. Eventually it got so close that I drew my 1911 and took out 7-10 more at close range. I was only a few feet away from getting my first axe kill when one of the USF dead shouted 'dude, look out!' and another USF soldier heard it and snapped around with his gun pointing at me, so I just took the safetly kill. That move earned me an 'Outstanding Operator' award. Unfortunately all those cool engraved mags had ran out, so I settled for a comemorative mag and TONS of the special white/silver AMS star patches. Squad 1-2 quickly reacted to my move and swooped in, pushed the USF out, Delt medic-ed me, and we re-captured our forward CCP. USF was then choaked down to their mobile FOB at the mouth of the valley. After seeing what we had just done to them, they tried to do the same to us, but we expected exactly that. Again, squad 1-2 held their ground in the middle while squads 1-1 and 1-3 beat their flanking elements to a pulp. Squad 1-2 started to push up to make an even tighter choke point for the USF while unknowingly some of our OP Bright Rain VI buddies from ARA moved in from the right and obliterated them to where they just plain had to leave the valley and join their other USF bretheren getting pounded around Pegasus Bridge outside of Colleville. Again, PLT1....HOOOAAAAHH!!! We were then ordered to swing into Colleville from the North through the Air Field. Upon arriving in the Air Field, we met up with team Mystery Squad who informed Nasty, Joe, Grim, and myself that we would soon have a special mission with them involving infil/exfil with the helo. Until that time we moved into Coleville. Upon arriving there we were notified that USF was trying to flank from the we slope outside Coleville, so squads 1-2 and 1-3 moved in to put an end to that immediately. Helios, Nasty and myself bounded our 3-man fire team down the slope and to the south meeting up with our buddy Snake (the owner of Impact Tactical airsoft and Snake's LZ). Snake was quick to help point out confirmed enemy positions and movements to us to help us mount a better counter flank. In the end our whole 3 man fire team was eliminated by USF, but we helped thin them out enough to where our fellow CoST team members were able to make quick work of them, so our actions weren't in vain. As Nasty and I returned to Coleville to stand at the CCP after bleeding out, we were instructed to head back to the Air Field for our infil/exfil with Mystery Squad. Unfortunately through a miscommunication, all of Mystery squad was helo-ed out and we were left behind for a fairly long wait. Thankfully CrankySmurf drove by and set our infil/exfil in motion. Nasty and I were the first to be lifted out, but due to Cranky needing a little extra time to set our mission up (again) we got a little extra time in the whirley bird while we were awaiting out drop off. Durring that time I experienced the ride of my life that surpassed ANY roller coaster I've ever been on. That was my first helo ride, and I got to shoot people from out of the doors, what more could you ask for? Upon landing, Nasty and I exited and set up as best a defensive perimeter as we could with only two people with our backs facing one another. As soon as the helo lifted off we waited a little more, then I put my PC back on and we started to head back over to Cranky to get our mission outline. In doing so, I heard fire coming from my 6 and then heard Nasty shout 'HIT HIT HIT!' to which I just ran into the woods not even stopping to look back at what had just taken Nasty out. Knowing that Grim and Joe would be landing soon, I laid in wait in the tree line for any movement from enemy forces. As soon as Joe and Grim were dropped off, they were taken out too. I then tried to make a mad dash for the V2 rocket, but was taken out by yet another USF element. By this time, Cranky informed us all that there was only 15 minutes remaining in the OP until break was called initiating the night game, so we all just hitched a ride with Cranky back to camp. For some reason, however, a lot of our CoST bretheren were getting shipped out of Coleville when USF made a final big push into Coleville. This was either miscommunication or a really cheap ploy by the admins to get the USF any kind of a foot hold into Coleville as they were unable to do it prior.

We all got up early again Sunday and geared up. We again had some members drop out. Grim had taken a nasty spill in Coleville the day before and was complaining of a severely sore and stiffened knee. Jody3 was simply AWOL as he had said he was going to return in the morning but no one had seen or heard from him. Hound took some ibuprofen and got back into the fight despite fighting as long as he could the previous day on his torn ACL. Again we rallied and then headed out. This day was looking to be a massive BB storm in Coleville as the admins were going to let USF start just outside of Coleville and CoST start a little farther out. The basis was that whomever controlled Coleville at the end of the day was the winner, but actaully if it was still contested by CoST the invading USF forces would technically have NOT accomplished their invasion and lost, meaning Oklahoma had successfully suceeded from the USA by fending off the invasion. Upon game on, we piled on to Edge's ATV like a bunch of circus showmen. Edge drove while Helios sat on front working his MK34, I was sitting 'bitch' while using my holding Nasty and Bash on the side rails. I'm suprised our fat asses didn't kill Edge's ATV. That was pretty funny and interesing, thank you, Edge for allowing us to use you ATV out there! By the time we got to Coleville, despite the ATV, USF had already taked all of the town up to the North side structure. I heard a lot of discouraged fellow CoST members saying things like 'well they're in there now, now we'll never get it back' or 'There's no hope now. We've already lost'. I'm not a quiter, I just don't do it. Sometimes my determination resembles one of the deffiniteions of insanity, "trying the same thing over and over expecting different results". The rest of PLT1 was of the same mindset, so we pushed hard following the APC that crushed the little Honda car (EPIC!). We then were told that USF was AGAIN trying to flank from the west, and AGAIN Helios, Nasty and myself ran our 3-man fire team down the slope to reinforce some of our already dug in CoST fighters. By the time we arrived, the USF flanking force had already been mosty haulted, but some stragglers were left giving us some troubles. Our D9 fire team lead a ballsy counter flank whiping ALL USF forces from the West slope of Coleville. In doing this we lost only Helios. I made it all the way to the port-a-johns and a supposed SF or M.O.D. tent before getting hit and bleeding out. Nasty didn't return back to Coleville for some time, so I have so assume he and the rest of the CoST counter flank gave the USF one hell of a bad day. Upon bleeding out and returning to the CCP, I returned to Coleville as radio communication was severely disrupted and there was sheer chaos in Coleville. I actually met up with one of our 'add-ons' who if I remember right was Jockey and we went back into Coleville assisting some stranded elements of squad 1-3 and some of my old CG18 buddies on QRF making a heroic flank to the East of Coleville. TAK was being ran ragged with all the healing he was doing. As some of the QRF swung far left, I moved in towards the church as I saw a young member of the Outlaws jumping through the window in the the church. I was hit in the neck almost immediately from outside the church and then again by fellow CoST members. As I was bleeding out from outside the church, Jockey ran up and did this crazy Chuck Norris sweep on the side of the church by litterally hip firing and taking out around 7 USF. He even had time to stop and say sorry to the first guy he shot danger close and then continue to shoot more USF. I again bled out and returned to the CCP. When I came back into Coleville I simply went where I thought I was needed the most as comms were still terrible and I couldn't locate any fellow squad members. I was part of a major CoST push to the South West from the North East side of Coleville that cam dangerously close to totally pushing the USF out. During this we had to call a 'cease fire' due to a cold smoke starting a grass fire, and with the wind we were having that day, it had to be addressed and put out IMMEDIATELY. It was great to see that despite all the combat and animosity, CoST and USF labels fell away was we all in close proximity to the blaze dropped our guns and ran to put the fire out. We then reset and contunued the storm of BB's that were flying around in Coleville. I then pretty much held out at the Strip Mall with some fellow 1-2 members and QRF members. I went through more ammo in this hour than I've gone through in several previous entire OPs combined. Several times I was encountering so many USF's rushing our postition that I was running my AK through an entire mid cap on full auto without stop. Within the last 20 minutes of the OP, Delt and Hound were backing me up and I had to bumb two AK mags from Delt. I burned thorugh those almost instantly. I then switched to my 1911 still taking down at least one USF every 2 shots. I then ran out of ammo for my 1911. I couldn't reload however because I gave my ramaning stash of BB's to a fellow CoST SAW gunner on the condition that he used them ALL in shooting USF. Hound then threw me his M9 which I again continued to lay out USF at only about 20yds away and ran through a whole mag in no time. I was then given Hounds second pistol mag and ran through all but 5rds left until a USF made a great shot on me and I was no longer able to be healed. It was no big deal as I was shot out literally within the last couple minutes of game play. CoST succeeded in helping Oklahoma suceed from the USA by fending off the USF war machine!

Overall this was easily the best OP I've been to in all my MilSim years. My sincere thanks go out to Frosty, JP, and 'BO' and all the other AMS crew that made this OP what it was. Delta 9 had several first time MilSim-ers and even seasoned MilSim-ers saying the same. Nasty and I agree that from no on, we will NEVER miss out on the helo ride and will be getting SAW's to do a gun run next year. UBER KUDOS again to the AMS crew!!! Delta 9 cannot wait to see what you guys have in store for the MilSim community next!

I would also like to say that Joe was able to hang in there will all us 'youngsters' out there in the heat, and frankly he did it in stride. Good job, Joe!

DIY / Lowering the FPS of the KWA H&K MK23
« on: April 29, 2012, 02:49:46 AM »
For any of you that are like myself and own a KWA MK23 know that it's a true beast both in size and performance. Although, that performance can also be seen as a burden. Most KWA MK23's are shooting around 375fps which makes them unusable in close situations. Some are waiting for a replacement valve like the ones availible for the MP7, MP9, or M9 or even an NPAS to take the velocity down. Some sit around a speculate with others as to weather or not certain parts for other KWA GBB systems will work or if certain mods will do the trick, but I have yet to find anything online that provides any kind of a true solution to this 'problem'. I personally like the abilities of my MK23 to hit targets at 150ft+ easily. I too thought to myself that I would like the ability to use my MK23 in close environments on occasion, so I set out to find a solution myself.

As some of you may know, almost all KWA GBB pistol hopups are similar if not idedentical. Having an old KWA G18C and the newer ATP I was able to do some experimenting. I had an old spare G18C inner barrel laying in the bottom of my tool box. The Glock barrel is easily around 1.5" shorter than the stock MK23 inner barrel if not more. So, I disassembled my MK23 hopup and threw the Glock barrel in and tried it out. SUCCESS! It effectively dropped my muzzle velocity down to 275-300fps with a .20g BB. I knew the shorter barrel would change the muzzle velocity, but wasn't sure by how much or if the MK23 would still operate properly with the shorter barrel. It functioned just fine.

One thing to not though is the KWA hopups for the HK series pistols are all the same, but different from the Glock and ATP's so I was NOT able to use all the hopup pieces with the Glock barrel. I will be checking with the KWA ProShop on purchasing an HK USP (KP45) hopup and barrel assembly to have a whole complete unit that I can swap out for any OP. I imagine that the KP8 or USP Compact barrel's could be used to bring the FPS down even more. As soon as I get a price from KWA (assuming is reasonable) I will post it on here for anyone else who is curious to do this as well.

Classifieds / Clearing out some odds and ends
« on: March 28, 2012, 04:20:11 AM »
I'm making the 100% switch over to Lipo batteries. I've even already sold my smart charger to a friend at work who is just starting out in the hobby, so none of my old NiMh batteries are of any use to me now.

From top to bottom on the batteries there is:

8.4v 1100mah stick battery wired to deans-$8

8.4v 1100mah stick battery wired to deans-$8

9.6v 1600mah Tenergy stick battery wired to small tamya-$12

9.6v 1600man Intellect stick battery wired to deans-$15

10.8v 1500mah stick battery wired to deans-$15

9.6v 5000mah Intellect large type battery wired to deans-$20

9.6v 1600mah Tynergy nunchuck battery wired to deans-$15

Next is my ICS MP5SD. I used this at BO2 to pretty good effect. ROF is great even with an 8.4v small battery. Barrel is polished and sealed with rainx. #14 o-ring on the piston head. AOE is corrected. Gears are re-shimmed. Cylinder head is sealed. Wired to deans. It is currently shooting around 402fps, but with a little use, the new spring will settle in and will bring it down some. No battery and no mags are included. $85 OBO.

This next one really hurts me to post up for sale, but I honestly don't use it that much now that I've gotten really into AK's. I've had this since before my first Invasion (OKIV). It's a G&G M14 SOC16. It is wired to deans, cylider head is sealed, o-ring air nozzle, #14 o-ring on the piston head, AOE corrected, re-shimmed, KWA gearset, polished barrel and sealed with rainx. Last chrono put it at 375fps with .20g's. The scope mount in a G&P and usually goes for $60 by itself. Red dot is unknown but works great and is a 30mm tube. Mount, optic and all goes with it. Including one full metal G&G 470rd hicap magazine. Asking $200 OBO.
