Joe, this was a great find. The author obviously has a high level of experience, and did an excellent job of discerning fact from fiction here; I actually learned quite a bit from this article.

Ouch Joe! I mean.... ouch. Just because the one time I actually got to mess around with NVGs and I couldn't see more than 5 feet in front of me. Doesn't mean I don't have experience. hahah. I will agree with Jbagel and say that it was a very informative read. I obviously learned a lot from it. Considering when they gave use the NVG class at MCT I was fighting to stay awake. I would definitely suggest anyone interested in getting NVGs to read the article first and make an informed decision.
