Title: we xdm or 226?
Post by: CalebMOE on October 02, 2012, 04:52:56 PM
I have been considering trying WE TECH gbbs again but I kno I dont wanna spend too much on it. I kno the 226, xdm (dm40), and the g17 are all the same price range. i was just wondering for thst price range what is my best bet? Ups and downs of each?

Out of all of them I would buy the XDM I have one and I really like the internal design primarily the hammer system very easy to work on and the hammer spring is not under any tension when the hammer is forward, also the hammer does not slam against the knocker so I think just the hammer system alone will be long lasting.  The FPS is right at the limit for the CQB, and the grip is ridiculously comfortable and has different back straps for adjustment. Only problems I could for see is the nozzle seems to be a little thin compared to what I would like but I have not seen or heard anything on the WE nozzles breaking much and there is a reinforced nozzle for sale also.

Thats kinda the way I was leaning its pretty unique, and if nothing else flat out sweet looking. i was just, for lack of a better term 'concerned', with the lack of aftermarket parts, also with oem compatibility and stuff like that.

For later on, I think RA-tech makes a nice upgrade slide, forgot what it's made of though! I'm sure Sogo could help you find it.

*edit:made for WE Tech.
