I just wanted to say thanks to Joe for convincing me to buy a battle belt. I just finished loading it up and will be trying it out today. I think this is going to work well with different vest load outs, plus it keeps the bulk of the weight off my chest and keeps my vest sides clear of unnecessary pouches.

Battle belts are a great option that often get over looked. I think it's due to the PC being somewhat of a tactical fashion trend if you will. I just made a gear video review of some custom stuff I bought from a maker in TX. I went with a very small and minimalist PC and will soon be purchasing one of his battle belts in Multicam in order to keep more weight off my shoulders and to not have such a cluttered kit. I've ran battle belts the last couple times at SoGo and I don't think I'll ever run anything else. They're super simple and HSLG (high speed low drag).

I've been running an Eagle War Belt for awhile. Really great option for running a few spare rifle mags, sidearm mags, dump pouch, utility pouch/IFAK, and your sidearm itself. I didn't like running things on the cummerbund of my plate carrier, so I opted for the belt set up and haven't looked back.
If you do plan to run one with a plate carrier, you need to be sure that your plate carrier is going to ride high enough to not interfere with your belt kit. There are quite a few compact plate carriers that fit the bill for this set up very nicely. (i.e. Crye JPC, LBT 6094, DBT FAPC)

It's kinda quite because it was filmed with my iPhone.
