Title: K9 Training today at So Go Airsoft
Post by: Supercell on March 21, 2012, 11:46:39 AM
Just wanted to let everybody know we entered into a new chapter for So Go Airsoft
We are here at So Go Airsoft right now watching 8-10 K9 units train.  They are from all over this area.  The parking lot is full of LE SUV's and patrol cars.  Each vehicle has the K9's name on it.  These dogs are impressive.

They heard about us from the other Feds and LE that train here.  Of course they aren't using Airsoft but we are glad they can use our facility anyway.  The camera system is great training (aide) tool.  We offer something different than normal building clearing for them.  Since we can change the layout whenever we want. (or they want)  It is a unique experience from our normal training.

Funny thing is, Evan is the only person volunteering for OPFOR. lol

Will try and post pictures later.

This seems very interesting... did you have to set the coarse up for dogs to sniff stuff out? Im just guessing but i would love to hear more about this k9 stuff. I mean i can see them trying to sniff out evan i guess but sniffing out objects i guess i wouldnt understand how it would work for training the dogs.

They use drugs and hide them.  Trust me they kept a close yea on all their stuff. lol  I told them to be sure not to accidently leave anything laying around. lol
Evan didn't get to do it today.  They did the building search with muzzle's on.  Unfortunately for one of the handlers that was playing a bad guy accidently pulled a muzzle off while the dog had him on the ground.  He hooked his arms around the dogs head and when the dog pulled out the muzzle came off.  YES I HAVE A PICTURE OF IT.
It was a good time watching these guys and their dogs work.
