I'm looking for a cheap AK to fully open up roles associated with the wide range of OpFor (insurgent, militia, Russian, Soviet, North Vietnamese, Chinese, Afghan, ect.). Just for fun I might mention that I have almost completed most of these loadouts already, just missing the gun! :P It will be an outdoor gun, and I plan on getting a Chinese chest rig and either CYMA 150rnd or King Arms 110rnd magazines for it (please let me know which magazine you'd recommend as well).
I want the Plain Jane, full stock '47. I'll probably pick up a cheap tactical handguard, grip and stock, but I'm not really concerned about that at the moment.
Please post and advise me as to which brand of AK you recommend. I have a max price on the gun at $150, and a total AK budget (gun, mags, batteries, gear) of $200.
Arigato!

Didn't you just sell a perfectly good TM Spetsnatz and some AK mags? :o. A new front end and a new inner barrel and you would have had what you now seek.
*shrug*
D9 uses Cyma AK rifles and raves about them. That would be my suggestion.

I need the extra money that the TM produced (I'm saving up for a Magpul PDR). And the mags were waffle style, won't work for my NVA loadout. I'm thinking the CYMA as well, since I can get everything I want for under $150 total. I had the spring CYMA AK-47 when I was first getting into airsoft, and that thing was a tank! lol I used it so much the internals wore out (boy was my finger sore from racking that bolt. haha)

Whatever you decide, I hope you purchase it from So Go. Without their support, this forum would not even exist.

Indeed. I will inquire about it when I'm there on Saturday.

CYMA's AK47 are common, cheap as dirt, and work well.
If you have a version 3 gearbox I have the empty shell of a G&G Ak47 that I'm sure I could gather all the parts for and sell to you.

Sounds like a very accurate replica. ROFL
