Title: Broken Home II
Post by: Reverandff7 on May 28, 2013, 11:47:59 AM
I will say i can not relate a whole AAR because the melt down on my body. You know even though for the last 2 months i have had a personal trainer for conditioning it did not prepare me for this event. Keep in mind I have been going to the gym for conditioning with a personal trainer 6 days a week for 2 months and still was not ready for this. If that tells you how rough it was out there. Its not just running or sprinting or listening I mean you really had to endore a major heat element which to be honest... I have never been a big fan of heat. I am from NY... put me in the winter i will last forever but heat... forget it. I also would like to apologize to P1 for the second day. After talking with Cody and Joe I realized that the common thing we all had was the fact that we went to Waffle House the morning of Day1. I think that had something to do with the fact that we could not do well on day2 but it was still a lot of fun. There were tons of freaking Vehicles there it was nuts! I still say my highlight is when a request for a gunner was need when we were in a trench and out of no where i this old man(just joking) jumps out of a trench so fast that by the time i got out of the trench he was already at the gun lol.

I will also say its not an airsoft event unless I break a gun of somesort. I cracked my piston in my g36 lol!

I totally got off point on that... Sorry I am still really tired. I just would like to say that P1 apperently was the Shinning star of CoST which from what i have heard from the second day was amazing. I do apologize on this fact that i was not able to be there for all of it. I will say while i was there the missions we had were amazing and pulled off with amazing skill. I am going to make a few mentions on some stuff on saturday.

1) RED! - Awesome medic you did great you stayed where you needed to stay and didnt risk anything to get yourself killed. Everyone did there job on protecting her, Joe, and Bear. Great job to all of you guys I was glade to be apart of the unit.
2)Leadership - JBagel, Kain, Blue... I am mentioning these 3 in particular because they are who i delt with the most. At first it was really hecktic when we jumped out the bus because i lost my team but i heard Jbagel...not hard... Just found where he was at a just ran in that direction past the barn. Kain - You let our group know what was going on at all times when our little group had no idea what was going on in front you made sure we knew what to expect if it came our way. Blue - I was directly under your leadership and you made it very clear on where I needed to go... even when i was trying to walk quitetly thru the woods... which was not easy(not light on my feet). All and all it was fun as hell
3)Safety- The reason why i am mentioning this is because everyone that was in a leadership role came around every 10min and kept repeating to everyone..."If your standing and waiting for orders you should be drinking." I could not tell you how many people i saw from other groups that they were just standing there panting and not drinking. I went thru a lot of water while i was there and still i got really freaking hot. I did like how AMS brought the water buffalo out there aswell to make sure that everyone had water. They were coming around with bottles of it to top everyone too.
4)Squad Groups - I liked this idea very much because it cut down on mass confusion(except I am sure bagel had his hands full) with the rest of the group. There was no huge micro managment of anything and anytime someone had a quesiton it got answered and answered quickly. Which brings me to comunication... amazing comunication especially when the only orders you get are "Stay Here and Dont Let anyone pass"...

Other then that there really was not anything else except a major shout out to my man Little Joe! I put our conquest on FB it was awesome! Also the vehicles were pretty cool but a lot of them... I think if I was going to go next year that i would bring one myself.
