If the gun shoots under 400 FPS with .20g then no you wouldn't need to get permission, any higher FPS then yes you would.

It doesn't matter if the gun is an mp5 if it shoots over 400 fps with .20g then it would be considered a DMR.

Hope that helps.

General Airsoft / Re: Looking for the best 1911 or glock

Aye, I as Tang said. Both those companies are great. I think the KWA 1911 PTP series wouldn't be bad either, though I remember we had I think they were few M9 PTP's that were over the fps limit(I don't know how fast the 1911's shoot, but I'd think it would be similar).  If I were you I'd stay away from WE, KJW 1911's. Don' let the metal body of them fool you from the TM. I can't count how many times I have seen someone drop the WE and it break. So far I have only seen two TM's that broke from it being droped, and they had gone through the ringer. I've droped one of my TM 1911's maybe 2-3 times and so far nothing, but a little skuff mark on the side of it. I have seen the iron sights get damaged before on the TM's when droped(As in the plastic sight just kinda gets smashed and wont be level with the onther sights) I have seen WE's been droped the same way and not only would the iron sights just break right off but the slide would be damaged also.

The KJW Glocks would be my second choice. If I had to choose a Glock I would probably go with KWA(But as we all know - Have fun trying to find one.) I probably wouldn't get a Glock 18 if it were me(alot of moving parts to go wrong, and you can ask any of "SGTU" and they'll tell ya about what they've seen).

After everything I've said. When dropped a TM can break just like any other. I just haven't seen it happen like the others.

Consider those things before you buy.
That is my opinion.

Hey Austin598,

What style of gun were you looking for/ how much were you wanting to spend?
My top three favorite brands are VFC, G&P and Tokyo Marui. All three of those brands make guns that cost a pretty penny but worth it. From what I'm heard the VFC E series weapons aren't bad they'd cost around $300 and of course just about any TM will be awesome and most of the time cheaper then the VFC's and G&P's. There are plenty of different brands that's for sure.  One of the best ways of finding what your looking for is going to SoGo Airsoft, there we'll let you, hold and test fire the weapons and all the good stuff.

I hope that helps.
Dog.

Sundown here is the video I was talking about Saturday,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_TV4qJiOlg

It's pretty funny. For those that haven't seen it and have no idea what I'm talking about... this is a video comparing the U.S Navy commercials vs Japanese Navy defense force whatever recruitment  commercials.

Hi, My name is Josh White. I am an employee at SoGo Airsoft and have been for a good few years.

I am of a dying breed. I yes play real Milsim Airsoft, and do MilSim events with non-airsoft weapons.
I've been playing Airsoft for about as long as a Bear has been ****ing in the woods.
Hopefully Lord willing I will be joining the U.S Army as soon as possible.

If SA (Or what SA is now) gets games going I'll do my best to attend. :)
