What settings are you running?

The footage I have is very, very dark.

Hoping to get in on some MilSim events next year.

I feel like having an objective gives much more substance to any airsoft experience. Trigger time is great, but having a goal to achieve as a team is a more rewarding experience in my opinion.

I had a nice time last night. Great way to spend the later half of my birthday. Was glad to see some old faces as well.

I ran Boogies back at Mishko. I didn't have any major issues with fogging, but it is a problem to watch out for. It's probably inherent to the design since the lens sits so close to your face.

Snapping the "Regulator" system out helped me out with fogging a bit. I also use the bungee strap kit on mine, so it's a little easier to get the right fit instead of the swimming goggle strap.

HSLD*

I've been running an Eagle War Belt for awhile. Really great option for running a few spare rifle mags, sidearm mags, dump pouch, utility pouch/IFAK, and your sidearm itself. I didn't like running things on the cummerbund of my plate carrier, so I opted for the belt set up and haven't looked back.

If you do plan to run one with a plate carrier, you need to be sure that your plate carrier is going to ride high enough to not interfere with your belt kit. There are quite a few compact plate carriers that fit the bill for this set up very nicely. (i.e. Crye JPC, LBT 6094, DBT FAPC)

It's a KAC PDW grip. Comes standard on VFC's PDW and SR-635.

I used one of dethwish's CM030s way back when. It was a surprisingly decent sidearm.

I'd recommend them.

Great idea with the bathtub, Joe.

Another item that could use a good cleansing is helmet pads. Not sure if anyone is running replica helmets with padding on the inside, but the foam can soak up a lot of sweat and it really has no where else to go. I'm sure you can imagine how gross it can get especially in the summer months.

Gloves are another item. I'd say wash them with the same rules as your cammies.

I can't imagine your pouches getting too bad.

However, I'd say wiping the insides of your plate carrier/vest down with soap and hot water would be a nice idea.

You could also use the DangerWerx Flute Valve. DangerWerx is a user on ArniesAirsoft who handcrafts some interesting parts.

His valve for the KWA MP9 and MP7 lowers the velocity of the MP9/MP7 to below 350 FPS. I believe he started distributing these too. Not sure if Jon could get them in or not.

Neat stuff.

General Airsoft / Re: liPo batteries
« on: July 23, 2011, 12:12:31 PM »
Yeah, you have to be really careful when you use a lipo.

However, using a 7.4v lipo isn't very different than running a 9.6v NiMH battery. The problems start when people start throwing the 11.1v lipos in their guns.

Practicing good battery handling is key as well. I always charge my lipo inside a Lipo Bag. Just keep an eye on them, don't charge them where/when you can't watch them constantly.
