General Airsoft / Another Kid shot for not being a responsible Airsofter
« on: December 18, 2010, 09:53:45 PM »

Please guys and girls be responsible with these Replica's.  If approached by law Enforcement immediately put your Airsoft gun on the ground.  Do not attempt to try and show them your Airsoft gun with the orange tip.  This will come across as a threatening jester and bad things can happen.
Comply completely with any Authorities.

This kind of thing is what will get Airsoft outlawed here in the USA.  There are already city's that have bans on the use of Airsoft guns in the city limits.

Case those Airsoft guns.  Or at least transport them in their original boxes.  Never flash around your Airsoft guns in public and when you are playing be sure you have permission from the property owner(s) and there isn't any visible public in the area.  I am just trying to say we need to be very careful!!!!!

I need to announce to everybody that you will only be allowed to use .20g bb's during open play and any events.  We will continue to chrono with .25's to get your FPS but after that you will need to use the .20g bb's.  If you have a private party you can use which ever you party says they are willing to play with.  But if you have a private party and say that anybody can come in to play with you then the .20g bb rule will apply.

Sorry to have to go this route.  I have always suggested that people use .20g and not the .25g in the CQB.  We don't want people hurt.  We just want them to know they got hit.  And .20g bb's do this just fine.  In fact the 300fps isn't even necessary.  But people want to push that limit and it is allowed by our insurance rules.
The reason we are implementing this new rule is because this weekend we ended up with somebody getting their finger broken.

I want people to come back to play and if their experience isn't anything but major pain and doctor bills this sport/hobby will suffer.  I want everybody to have a good time.

If you have any questions please PM me.

Thanks,
Jon

Reviews / Impact Grenade's
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:43:47 PM »
We received our order of the new Impact Grenades from Airsoft Innovations and I have to say I was more impressed after we tested them a few times.
I was worried that hitting the wall or floor when pitching the grenade would make it go off.  But it really didn't.  We tested in around 10-15 times.  Everytime we used bb's in our test I was actually hit by bb's.  With the regular tornado grenade I usually get hit 50% of the time.  Plus I believe the bb's actually shot out a bit harder.
There are a few little pieces that have to be put back in place(inside the unit) each time before use.  But you can't loose the pieces.  They are what makes it go off on impact.  The guys actually were getting pretty fast in re-arming and loading these up each time.  I was worried about that at first.  I haven't done it personally but I will.
I only got 5 to start off with but they are pretty cool.  We will be using them during the next few events over the next couple of weekends.

This is where you can post to let others know you and/or your group is coming out to play at So Go Airsoft sometime.  We get calls all the time from individuals asking if anybody is playing.  And we just don't have the infomation to give them.  This way we are all on the same page and it should help in having somebody to play with when you do come out.
I will post the 2 times I know that we will have players for sure during the week.  This Thursday (June 10) around 12:30pm until 6pm the Branson guys come up.  They have done this for the last 4-6 months.  They always play on the second Thursday of the month.

Next Monday (June 14) usually around 3 or 4pm our Nixa group is coming out.  They play every other week.  But their day of the week changes sometimes.  Keep watching here.

So please post if you are planning on coming out so others will know and we can direct people to look here or on So Go Airsoft for information on players.

Thanks,
Jon

Reviews / markers
« on: May 17, 2010, 06:12:16 PM »
Marker bb's.
Guys not sure if this is where I needed to put this.  But I want everybody to know our experience with these new marking bb's.  Every gun that we have tried them in have gone down.  We just had someone come into the store that bought some from Bass Pro.  With the same results.  We had to repair the gun.
They don't seem to have this Marking BB perfected yet.  I can see the reason people would like it.  But they really don't do a very good job of marking either.  We tried all the different colors and any straight on hits didn't show up hardly at all.  If they skimmed off of you they seemed to be a little better.  But we still had to have a few people trying to find markings after going full Auto as well as single shot.
I know they say they use a silicone based marking paint(or powder) but it really didn't matter.  These things left all kinds of stuff inside the gun and really messed with the hopup.  Not to mention the mags that didn't fair to well after a few hundred rounds.  Inside our rentals didn't look good either.
If anybody has had great results with these please let us know.  But don't judge off of a few shots.  The more you use these bb's the more damage and build up you will get.  So be sure to give it a little time before you make your final judgement.  I just don't want to keep seeing these guns coming into the shop blaming the the gun makers and not the bb's for their gun malfunctions.

Hey guys.  I just wanted to set the record straight.  This won't be the look for SpringfieldAirsoft.  This is what had to come online since the old server expired on May 11th.  So just hang in there until we get more people back on here and all the admins talking to see where this thing will go.
