So Go Airsoft Ideas for 2014 Thoughts????
« on: February 12, 2014, 08:50:25 PM »
Looking at Switching things up a bit starting in March.  And hopefully better weather.  But I would like to hear your thoughts on some of these ideas.

1. Opening later during the week and staying open until 9 or 10pm.
2.  Team Night Thursday and Team Challenge Thursdays?  (Used for training your team and just practicing.  Then playing a bit to put your training to the test)
3.  Target night Fridays.  And Tournament Challenge Fridays (For individuals or Teams)
Consisting of timed, accuracy and planning Challenges. Like Hostage/Rescue, Active shooter and other types of scenario games.
4.  Block Play 5-9pm for under 16years old and families.  And 7-11pm for 16 and over? (Because of the larger numbers and so many different playing experience levels and ages.
Thin things out a bit and make it more fun for everybody.  And helping those new players learn how to play properly.)

With our place in Springfield I believe we have more to offer everybody after school and Work.  And just get back to doing the more challenging games and mixing things up.  Working as a team to achieve a goal.  And just having a good time even practicing.

Thoughts?  I don't want to open later if it is going to hurt folks who can't come out later.  But it already seems that later is when we see most everybody.

Well what I can say seeing as how I do not get down there till later is I think opening later is a better idea. I also really think the challange thing could really help a lot of people become better players anyways. Not just for the comp or tourny but makes people second guess there targets and actually worry about accuracy instead of putting more rounds down field. Hopefully this makes sense it is 6am and I am hella tired so proof reading this might not be as good.

Strongly thinking about starting this as soon as we get things built and setup.
Glad to hear others are liking the new ideas.

I think games that have a goal would be great.  It may get the people who corner camp to move a little.  I don't think it would solve it but it may help.

It won't. We use to do force on force only 15-20 percent of the time. But it was so much work when people stopped focusing on the mission and just shooting. Even some of our veteran players wouldn't do the mission and only would walk around shooting.
So because of that being what people wanted moved to that.
But we know there are folks that still want that aspect. We just have to make it out of block play times so we know the players attending want this type of game. There always plenty of shooting.

Lol joe. There is a difference of going around shooting and taking out the enemy while the rest of your team is working on the mission. Either being a guard or serving as a diversion. And then there are those who just take off running and shooting. Not caring what the rest of their team is doing. Not caring about the mission at all. I'm sure there is always a method to your madness. You are an attorney after all. Lol

Goal based games are fun, but in a setting like this are tough. Too many players don't quite grasp what they are meant to do.

As soon as I get a break in Friday party's we will be posting up our new night of play.
Will be a mixture of game types. Building off the games we came up with during our Spring Break crowds. A lot of fun and different. Will post more when I announce the first date. Coming real soon.
Thanks
