When you say "mini-gun" ... those compact little things you buy in walmart that are like 1/5th the size of a real steel, and only sputter out .12s?
Hahahaha... not for me, no thanks.
The BIg BOy Mini-gun though... I think , would sit collect dust, and finger prints if on Sogos' wall.
Everyone would want to test fire it, but the cost and practical application of using it, is very dissuading.
Next year, at tax return time... I am buying one myself though. But, it's going on a vehicle mount for OKI and other Events.
I'm working on a negotiation for 2 sand-rails ( Dune Buggies) from a dude out in OK that owns many of them, cause he has a track out in the desert somewhere.
One I want to outfit with the Minigun...
The other, if Chad keeps his LMG, or mount my double m16 array ( still on the to-do list ) to it instead.
The buggies need some modifications if I get em, first off.. they don't have the "upper" third gunner seats. Secondly, they'd need stripped down and repainted, and I currently don't know the condition of them first hand.
Secondly, I can only haul one at a time currently...
So Cost of Buggies, + repainting, + some welding and metal, Plus seats ... not to mention repairs if needed, plus cost of an extra trailer to haul the 2nd one around... will most likely absorb my return, and then some... so getting the mini-gun this year, isn't practical for me.
Plus, I'd never really get to use it much...
so if the dune buggies don't work out, I dunno if I'd get one at all. I'm trying to negotiate a better cost, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it either.
Though, I don't see the average participant of airsoft buying one. I know if I didn't have a practical ( and theoretical at this point) use for one... it's simply too big, too heavy, too powerful, and a great waste of bbs and money for it even for basic field/woods play.
