hfc or kwa/ksc m11 gbb smg
« on: December 19, 2011, 05:39:46 PM »
I am very interested in getting one of these and I want to know what others have experienced with them.  I understand they are very high maintenance and are very temperature sensitive.  I also know of quite a few upgrades for them.  I know Jon has a KSC m11 that has a defective hop up from what I could tell.  From what I have read the HFC and the KSC m11 take the same parts with the exception of the hop ups. (sorry if my sentences kind of jumped around)

The KSC will more than likely shoot at or closer to SoGo's limits than either the HFC or the KWA. The new NS2 gas system is VERY efficient, so if it were me, I'd spring for the KWA/KSC.

HFC makes some decent stuff, but KWA/KSC seems to be better.

I agree with medal on this one. I am not a huge fan of KWA/KSC but i do agree they are of good quality. I just would rather have the NS2 system in my gun then something takes more gas then i have on hand.

They make replacement nozzles to bring their FPS down. They just released the ones for the MP7 and MP9 this year. I'm sure Jon would have no problem getting you one. The cool thing about the replacement nozzle is that they're not adjustable like the NPAS, so you don't have to worry about it getting out of adjustment during play like the NPAS tends to do.

I used to have one of the HFC models a few years ago and was really pleased with it. Even the lower end brand was well built, very realistic and shot great. The ROF on them is insane! Mine came with a plastic mock supressor that looked cool, but Polar Star makes a metal one for the KWA that's even better. When I bought mine in '05 a friend pointed out an easy way to break the nozzle by inserting the mag to hard while the bolt is forward though. I was always careful, so I never had any problems, but I saw one at shop that had. Still one of my favorite smg's, and I plan on picking up one of the KWA's w/ PS supressor at tax return time.

They might be similar or the same. Might wanna do some research to see if they're interchangeable.

The only things I didn't like about the SMGs, was you practically pulled the trigger, and then you were out of ammo very fast.  I've never looked, but I was wondering if it was easy to find mags for em nowadays. ( For M11 styles of course).
Second, it was difficult with the models that floated around D-9, was being too hot to use as CQB grade, or side arms.
I think Metal wound up with the only one that could be shot indoors.  (Then, not having a SEMI option, made it difficult to use in SOGOs, cause we hardly get to use burst fire there. )

Other than that, I like the style of em... especially when not doing regular "army" types of scenarios... "drug dealers" and "mafia hit men", maybe "Thugs", types of "characters" , those weapons really fit that type of persona very well.

I think if I got SMG... I'd like the Tech-9s , that KWA promised to make, but have yet to see that actually come to pass... , but I'd most likely go with the MP9 or MP7 varieties, they simply have more options in the current markets.

the bolt system for the m11 is very different from the other bolt systems that kwa makes and the older ns1 systems didn't shoot hot so im trying to fix one iv got parts ordered they should be here next week and ill see if it works with them kwa has a good parts ordering service. mags are fairly easy to find iv found them on most all major airsoft web sites and they have a few at so go I think, but they can be expensive.

I thought that the m11s were fairly new guns to airsoft?

Let me knock the dust of this thread first, just to answer shootemup. No, the m11's aren't new. I've seen them around several years now. The newest editions are the KWA ns2 models. Second, since I've rehashed the topic of gas powered smg's, I have to mention test driving Shifty's KWA mp7 w/ the low power bolt. Hands down the sickest gas gun I've ever fired, period! If you haven't already made your selection, I highly recommend checking them out. Very pricey, but very worth it.
