More or less, just the external receivers.   It's a Aim Top rebranded by matrix.  Probably one of the crappiest AEGs I've ever seen, and Cody said the worst he's ever worked on.

we dropped in a G&G motor because the "high torque" one that came with it was a weak piece of crap... the "high speed gears" stripped after about 30 rounds from the upgraded motor.

We put a KWA hop up in it, but had to use the stock hop up wheels , because the KWA ones wouldn't fit in the receiver.  The one that was stock, was whimpy plastic crap... I swear even a LPEG has beter hop up in them. It was claimed the hop up was a poly-carb... and it wasn't.  Replaced the bucking... the stock one which was supposedly "superb" was a flimsy POS too.

matrix gear box... which really has issues getting the pins in. They don't line up with the receivers perfectly. It was the only "truth" to the Matrix ad on it. It is a solid gear box... just someone forgot to check if all the holes lined up correctly.

The "tight bore" isn't a tight bore... lol, it's machined poorly , and my stock JG barrel which is 6.08 is much better... so I'm looking at a using the KWA M16 front end that came off the new DMR.  If not, I'll shop around for a decent tight bore.

More or less... the AEG was highly misleading on the site I bought it from.  When I called the company to tell em I was shipping it back, they said the add was a comparison to a LPEG , and they thought it was perfectly clear worded.
I looked at it again and again, and all I can say is they lied about the AEG all the way around.

Right now, it's in the project bin... cause it stripped the gears and piston using the new motor.  So, I told Cody, we were gonna upgrade it right, seeing how the company it came from refused to take it back. ( well, they would take it back, but wasn't going to refund the money, and was going to charge me a re-stocking fee , and I had to pay shipping to send it back. )

So, he'll get his G&G motor back... and we'll put everything top grade in it.  If it still has issues after that... I will take out the good stuff, and blow it up.  lol.

I wanted to use the m4 at the SA field day... but doesn't look like it's possible at this point.  So I'm gonna use my g36 ... which is extremely reliable to this date.

Wow. That all-around sucks. If you do blow it up, please film it

Personally I would consider two options: Throw some JG (or whatever clone) gears in, and a half way decent piston. Make it a loaner.

Scrap it, use it as a parts gun for future breakage. Buy a different M4. Though ive never owned one, I'm a huge fan of G&G combat machines (sogo just got two tan ones in) if you're looking more for budget. Otherwise get a KWA.

But if you do decide to upgrade it to ridiculous proportions, tell people its a matrix LPEG when you bring it to the field :)

yeah, it's gonna cost as much as getting a new decent gun...

but, I can't even sell it to someone like it is.  It'd be bad ethics if I did, and I do believe in Karma.

So, it's a project to do now.

Oh, no you didn't... I was just kinda thinking more or less...

What I meant was, I wouldn't have even tried to re-sell it brand new , much less in the condition it's in now.

Even if I gave it away for free... lol, I'd feel like I cheated someone.
