That's a bummer. I'm sure noob's think I'm rude when I don't let them pick up my guns at the events, but it seems you'll see more examples of "Murphy's law" in airsoft than, well, anywhere else in the freakin universe! I had myself to blame when my gun got broke, but if someone else breaks it, it's easy to be mad and blame them. Either way it's my own fault. If I lay my gun in the grass, it could get trampled. If I hand it to a noob, it could get dropped. If I loan it to a friend, it WILL get broken!!! These are expensive lessons. Take good care of your stuff.

Porkchop, you aren't the only person whom learned a lesson by that little tragedy.

I know Joe feels intolerably sorry for the act, and I as a Admin of the event... now make it a point to tell folks, to secure their gear, cause accidents can and will happen.

A wise man once said "Neither a borrower, nor a lender be." That's why I don't lend out gear or weapons and also why I don't borrow either. I am fine with giving someone ammo if I know them, but that about does it. I loaned out a Beretta to a friend who was new to airsoft, and he promptly rolled with it through the mud, completely jamming it. He also forcefully jammed the nozzle of the green gas tank in the seal, destroying it and then complained that it wasn't holding gas at all. So yeah, never again with the lending.

im free lending most of the time. I had some issues with "the project" at new dawn when i loaned it out to someone after i just got it out the shop. I still have some issues with it but working on that. Anyways i do believe that it does depend on WHO you loan stuff out to and what is loaned. For instance a mask or something attachable isnt as bad. But i do follow the logic... im glade to hear your getting better though with the gun.
