Ahh, thats why I couldn't find one, it' s two half shelters... that explains it!
wait until all these guys get a load, of what you can do with your poncho .. hahahaha, if the half shelters amaze em, they are in for some treats!
Just FYI for those that don't know...
Soldiers carry 1/2 of a shelter on them. Your "battle buddy" will have one half, you will carry the other.
What this does is break up the bulk and weight of carrying a full sized tent ( even though shelter halves are designed for 2 people only) per soldier infantry , or on foot/marches.
Comfort isn't what the military grants to you, out in the field, or on the field of battle. Shelters are basically to remove you from dangerous elements such as temperature and rain.
