Review Question
« on: June 07, 2012, 08:48:09 PM »
This is not a review but i would like to see if anyone has heard anything on this gun. It is the G&G sig 553... i am looking for another replacement for betsie dont get me wrong i will be still trying to fix her but if this tappet plate is not the issue... i dont know what to do. I have spent about 400 into the gun and i think its time to just hand in the towel so i am looking at this gun alot. I have the money to get it but i want to make sure i know im getting something reliable and different. I also noticed on the gun that they changed alot of the problems that the 552 had...battery housing...wiring...bolt catch...folding stock...and forehand area...folding sites... see what you think...tell me your thoughts ideas anything... just let me know. Thank you guys for your help i always depend on you to help me spend my money lol.

Well lets see what knowledge I've absorbed:

-Its an inlaid polymer body
-Takes a "mini" type battery
-Shoots roughly 375 FPS
-Folding stock
-Has a metal receiver
-The bolt catch is aesthetic but does lock with the catch and pulls all the way back
-Has flip up sites
-The battery connection is large type
-The barrel protrudes off the gun kinda far, maybe enough to hamper maneuverability in CQB
-Comes with a 30 round magazine
-Ambidextrous fire selector switch

Overall Travis, I think you have your heart set on this gun series.
Its always better to be a first rate version of yourself than a second rate version of someone else.

Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is unknown, today is a gift, thats why they call it the present.

O yea its great gun... i just am not a huge fan of the scar series guns. I like the sigs because they are unique. I have seen a total of 4 sigs actually used by people. Scars i see alot of but then again not bery many are a gbbr. Another reason on the 553 is because it takes the same series mags and well i wouldnt have to get more mags since i have 3 high caps for it. The barrel is the length i need it for field ... i have my cv for cqb and soon a gbb glock come Sunday.

But on the 553 you know just as much as i do. I have been reading... and looking at video's and everything about this gun. I was just wondering if anyone has seen one or touched one... maybe even fired one.

Let's keep this thread focused on topic, the Sig series of guns.

Please start new threads if you wish to discuss other guns.  Those threads, too, will need to remain on their respective, original topics.

Thank you for your consideration.
