JG M4A1 enhanced flash hider....HOW DO I????
« on: September 20, 2012, 02:31:03 PM »
Take the flash hider off?  It had a small set screw that came out easily with a small allen wrench, however there is this tiny pin that I cant get out, and the hider wont twist off (from what I have found it is counter threaded).

Please someone help!!

Pics?

Often, the flashhider is glued on.  A hairdryer may soften the glue enough.  Remember, airsoft flashhiders are usually threaded counter-clockwise ("CCW").  So to loosen it, you turn it to the right (as the gun barrel is pointed at you) and to the left to tighten it.

It may also have a small hex screw.

OK.....so....

I was looking at it (and possibly cussing at it) and it dawns on me......boil it.   So I get a pot of water, get it to a boil then pour it in a coffee cup, dip the hider in and let her soak (I had already taken the hex screw out{the problem was the glue and a tiny pin which would not come out}).  I put a screw driver in between the slats of the flash hider and gave it a good twist and loe and behold she came right off.

I am now the proud owner of a installed suppressor.  (which btw doubles as a sound amplifier because there is a front plate that screws off, thus exposing the chamber)

HOORAY!!!!!
