Halloween Events for Springfield and Ozark
« on: October 04, 2012, 03:00:12 PM »
We will be having 2 Halloween Events.

UNLEASHED I (in Springfield on Oct. 20) Check in at 5:30pm

UNLEASHED II (In Ozark on Oct. 27) Check in is at 5:30pm

Schedule will be the same in both locations.
Checkin at 5:30
Teams determined at 6pm
Game play starting as soon as each team has their missions.

We will be devided into 3-6 teams (depends on the numbers at each location)
Mercenary Group
Alpha-Echo Teams
We will have some Character players.
Each team will play the undead in one of the missions.
But unlike previous years after each mission you will go back to your team instead of having to continue being a Zombie.

Zombie's will only die when shot in the chest.  And only shoot Zombies that pose a threat to you or your team.  If they are walking away OR attacking another team please don't shoot them. (AGAIN ONLY SHOOT THEM IN THE CHEST BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL DIE) And AGAIN, You will appeciate this rule when you are playing the Zombie role.

50 rounds per mission allowed.  Please bring a springer, shotgun, or GBB pistol if you have it.  I know some people don't have any of those and we will still allow AEG's with mid or low cap mags.  Remember this is single fire only guys.  (Again for the safety of the people playing the Zombie's)

Zombie's will fall to the ground  when shot in the chest (metal plate) rather than just turn around like normal and walk away as we did in previous years.  Zombie's will only be down for 20 sec. so get out there.  And shooting them more  than once doesn't start their time over again.  Zombies CANNOT block their chest with their arms.  It still counts as a chest shot.
Remember Zombies can't think.  They can't work as a team and can't talk to each other about a plan of attack.  Your only job is to find fresh blood and kill them.
Zombie's can turn you with just a touch. (But remember if there is an antidote and you get a medic to give it to you then you might be saved.  More info on that during the event)

Everybody will need a glowstick.  If you don't have one we will have them for sale for $1 when you get there.  Once you turn into a Zombie you will need to put away your weapon and hide your glowstick when you get back to the New Zombie Infected start area.  You are Now a Zombie, start acting like one.  (REMEMBER YOU WILL ONLY BE A ZOMBIE FOR THAT MISSION AND WILL GO BACK TO A REGULAR PLAYER FOR THE NEXT MISSION.
Zombie can walk, jump, crawl or lunge at players.  PLEASE NO RUNNING or Tackling.
Also remember you cannot walk backwards so you don't get shot in the chest.
Zombie's only mission is to infect humans.

Halloween Event storyline will be posted VERY SOON so keep an eye out for it.

Thanks,
Jon

I'm glad to see the changes in the rules. Last year I was like the second person to get turned, so I spent $20 and only shot 3 BB's...Was not fun. I'm glad to see the rotation set up! Sadly I won't be able to make it, I'll probably be bushed after Operation Mishko, and I have to work on the 27th.

(all assuming I am open to play) Coming in after Mishko will be difficult but im might just stop by and see the show for a while. Very interested in seeing the new Springfield location might get me to the Field more often.

Yea the reason I have to do it on that date is because so many people have been asking for a Halloween Event in Springfield.  And we didn't want to change what has always worked in Ozark.  Plus I have had a few people that were driving in for the OP and wondered if we were doing anything for Halloween on that weekend since they have already drove a few hours to get here.  Now add that in with the Small posibility of bad weather and having to call off the OP like in the past.  I thought it would be good to have something better than just normal open play since it is the Zombie Season.

Added bonus if we can help thin out the crowd in both locations it might help a bit also.  Between 80-100 people last year was great and all.  I still can't figure out how all those people were either outside or inside CQB1 trying to get out.  Cody and I just stood in CQB2 waiting for people to start filing out and we waited awhile.  I was at the mall and someone asked about my Shirt with So Go airsoft and they said they have people coming into their store telling them about a great Zombie event they went to at our place last year.  So there you go.

So all in all I think it will be a good thing.  Don't worry if you are going to the Op. Mishko that day and to tired to come out to the Halloween event that night in Springfield.  The next weekend it will be in Ozark like normal.  I'll even add in the part that if you did go to the Op. Mishko I will take that $10 off the Halloween Event in Springfield that night.

I just you guys playing Airsoft as much as you can.  You will see me at both at least for a little while.

Posting basic Halloween Intel Monday so be sure you check back in very soon.
Plus more info will be added over the next couple of weeks as the Zombie Infection spreads and gets to a dangerous levels.  Then we have to step in and take care of business.

As you can see in my new posting we have situation.  Not only do we have a group of Mercenaries that we have to get out of the building.  We have to be sure the Zombies and any infected person does not leave the facility.  We must contain and secure the facility.

Watch for Updates on the new intel we are getting in before the event.

Prices? These two games very similar or meant to be a continuation of the story (sequel)?

Prices are at the top of the next thread when I posted the basic storyline.
http://springfieldairsoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=1043.0

With the 2 different locations and totally different Setup and feel.  Plus you add in the part that some people can only come to one due to where they live and other personel situations.  We couldn't really make it a sequel.  But they are based on the same story but taking place in totally different places.

Without giving it away.  If you came to the one in Springfield and then you went to the one in Ozark the next weekend they would feel like different Events with some interlocking storyline.

Ok, I know that isn't a good answer but in a typing format it is hard to explain the differences and the things that are going to be the same elements.

So, some plans of mine have changed and I think I'm gonna make this one. I've found my old leather trenchcoat and I think it's high time Max Payne returned to Sogo! Also, I'm sure you guys need some new tunes, right? Lol.  I'll be coming up for the game on the 27th, so if any of my old homies care to join me, I'd be much obliged.  "Collecting evidence got old a couple hundred bullets back, I was just trying to survive."
