What kind of gas do you use in these stock? I've heard propane is too rough on them?

Green Gas is the best, the gas contains silicone oil to help lube the gun. Propane is rough on the guns and by preventing it, we mix the gas with silicone oil.

So you would think the typical propane w/ silicone (which is essentially the same as green gas minus the "perfume") would be ok for it?
Thanks.

It would, but be sure to lube your gun. Propane is still dry gas which will dry your gun a little.

Heck, I used propane for at least six months in my old TM M9, back before I sold it. No problems whatsoever, but as was said earlier you'll definitely want to field strip your gun and lube most of the moving parts after every other game or so.
