6 Year Anniversary in Ozark and 1 Year Anniversary in Springfield this month.
We would like to thank all of you who have supported us and Airsoft in General. We do this all for you.
We were players before we opened the store and CQB's and we still are players. The same way we were when we Invented the first Airsoft Claymore mine back in 2001. And before that started playing Airsoft back in the mid 1990's. That's right. We have been playing for almost 20 years.
We have and continue to bring many years of experience to make your experience a better one. Because of the ASC7 Claymore, we have been able to sponsor many National and Regional Events.
We have been featured in European publications and have assisted in providing our units to Military and Law Enforcement all over the world for training. Bomb squads from all over the country have used our units. And we actually got to tour the USA showing them how to use the ASC7 Claymore in real world situations. Again being featured in the MIL/LE Bomb Squad trade publication. (Not public). Homeland Security had us come down to Georgia to use our ASC7 Claymores (with our add on's that make our units into IED Training Aids) during actual Training of the Soldiers and Federal Agents that were getting ready to be sent to Afganistan. We were the first Civilians allowed at their actual training sessions. It was an experience for sure.
While traveling to these special training missions we decided we needed to open a store and CQB. We looked at a lot of bigger city's where we knew the Airsofters that were already there would support such a business. After 3 years of planning we decided that we love this area and wanted to bring Airsoft to our Region. It was already huge on the East and West coasts. Being the first USA made Airsoft weapon(ASC7 Claymore) made us realize that we could help put the Midwest on the map for Airsoft.
So with us only knowing 8 Airsofters in the area we opened up Ozark So Go Airsoft 6 years ago. It was scary and we kept thinking we should have done the big city thing. But support grew and we helped educate folks in the region about Airsoft. When asked why we don't do Paintball also it was an easy answer. (and we did play paintball for a number of years before finding Airsoft) Our players said they didn't want the mess on their gear or guns and the players said they wouldn't be back if we brought paintball in. (Nothing against paintball. Some of our players are paintball players and a lot of our players use to play paintball. Glad to have all of them.) And add in that there were already plenty of Paintball places. This allowed us to focus, and be the only dedicated Airsoft Store and CQB in the Region. And we still are, thanks to all of you.
We started with a 3000sqft Retail store and 4000sqft CQB in Ozark. Built a second 4000sqft building 3 years later. And then after 3 year of fighting with the city over codes to get into Springfield we finally did it in 2012. Started off with 10000sqft and have grown to over 16,0000+sqft. And working on doubling our area outside. Some of our games have already included the outside portion.
We have to thank all LE that have came out to train. US Marshals Fugitive Task Force (a mix of Federal agencies and regular LE agents), IRS Investigative Unit, SWAT Teams, K9 Units and many other Friends in the LE community. (And thanks to those of you who have assisted us as OPFOR with these LE Groups.
We have even supplied Prop weapons for Movies over the last 6 years
As for our local community. We have been lucky enough to help sponsor many Sports Teams and Project Graduation's from around the Region. Also we been able to give our locals jobs over the years. Many have gone on to join the military and LE. We are SO proud of them. As well as our workers that have gone on and graduated High School and College to follow their careers.
I was born in Springfield and grew up in Branson performing at the 5th Country Show in Branson. Met my wife of 26 years (in Nov.) at Silver Dollar City. Moved to Las Vegas to start Country Tonite from the ground up. Expanding it to 3 venues and traveling Japan with the show. As an Entertainer and featured performer taught us many things over the years.
We then Quit that show to develop our own show. While in the planning stages we found Airsoft. Played every weekend for a few years before the ASC7 Claymore was born. And we have never looked back.
We want to end this by saying thanks to everybody that have supported us. And all you players that drive hours to play at our locations as well as those who come every weekend to Block Play or our Special Events. And those who continue to buy their gear and equipment from us no matter how far away they live. Thanks for giving us the chance to serve all of you. And thanks to the thousands of customers that have Bought our ASC7 Claymores over the years to help make all this happen here in the Ozarks!!!!!
Watch for some deals over the next couple of weeks. On guns, gear and games. Will post on this thread.
THANK YOU ALL
