« on: June 25, 2015, 08:40:05 AM »
Just started browseing around at new technology and saw this. A compeditor to the Fusion Engine with a cheaper pricetag. Didnt know if anyone has seen/heard/experianced anything.

They essentially work the same as a polarstar, though you install them in your existing gearbox instead of replacing the whole thing. The advantages of this are the SMP will fit a wider variety of gearboxes and AEG bodies and cost less than a full unit (and for some reason they are more gas efficient). Polarstar has already released their own competitor to the SMP, the Polarstar JACK. I haven't seen one around springfield yet, but all of the fields I have played at the past few months have been filled with them.

Seeing as I dismantled and destroyed my gearbox internals, im curious about getting one of these and poping it in and getting on the HPA train. Seems to be a very smooth design. Polarstar price tag is just to big for me. The SMP will hurt a little less.

Check with Sonorus, I believe he ran one for awhile.
