new building update
« on: April 05, 2011, 10:23:20 PM »
Well another stupid set back for the new building.  So we are now in a holding pattern for another 6 weeks at least.  Good news is we are going to try and put the outside part back up.  And we have plans to make it different than before so that will be a good thing.

Just wanted to update you guys on it.

Sorry to hear about all the problems Jon,  It's getting to where people can't even fart on property with-out some sort of EPA or Petition that needs to be forwarded to Mars and Ratified on Saturn nowadays.  ;D

Ya need anything though, don't hesitate to ask of us.

a bit off topic, but you mentioned a bigger place you had in mind a few months back, ... was that option ever viable?

Well it is was viable.  Because it was a freezer plant.  Nobody seems to know what they did with the amonia that they had in the tanks.  I was going to have to pay for an enviromental study.  (A few thousand dollars)  My banker didn't even think I could just rent the place without the county or whoever coming down on us since we would have a bunch of people running around in there.
I still have it in the back of my mind trying to think of ways around certain obstacles.  But at this point nothing.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a "non sequitur".

Let's just say I have to goto a City Council meeting because of a Zoning mistake made by the Architect this time.  Another piece of red tape we have to get through.

Good news tonight folks.  We went to the Planning and Zoning meeting tonight and they approved our variance on the new building paving the way for us to use it.  Next meeting is with City council.  The Planning and Zoning council were very nice.  It helped having the US Marshals out training last Thursday.  Not to mention all the other ones that have already trained over the last year.
But now on to the next step.

Great news.

Sounds like you're getting through this a little faster than you originally thought.

Which is good news to us players as well.

Ok, another update.  We went to the city council meeting for our Zoning change.  I believe things went well since nobody had any questions.  So they made the motion to move it to the final approval Council meeting.  It was seconded without any objections.  So on the 16th we go to the last City council meeting for this to all be approved.
We will keep up the outside portion until we get word that we can break ground again on the new building.

Good news.  We are done with all the City Council stuff.  We are a go.
Picking up the actual Permit tomorrow and getting the dumpster delievered.  We have 90% of the outside cleaned up.  They will start laying it out tomorrow or Wed. and hopefully start the footing and such by the end of the week.  Let's keep our fingers crossed on the weather.  That is the only thing I know of that will delay our progess at this time.
It won't be long now folks.
