I like portions of "The Matrix" soundtrack.

I keep asking Jon to play "Lords of Acid", especially for the younger players and children's birthday parties.  No luck yet but maybe he'll step away from the command center, leaving it unattended.  That'll be my chance.

Fav song?

" The sweet screams of frustration, form any OPFOR encountered."  It's music of a "different tune"...

 Hahahahaha!

I dunno, the music I like... doesn't come off video games, or what-ever pop-culture tosses out there.
So, normally all that "halo" stuff, is basically background noise to me.

What I like can be totally summed up by my callsign....METAL! Primarily Metallica.

Metallica's 'Creeping Death', 'Four Horseman', 'Seek and Destroy', 'Damage Inc.', 'For Whom The Bell Tolls', 'Blackened', 'Battery', 'Shortest Straw', 'Enter Sandman', 'Ain't My B****', 'Better Than You', 'King Nothing', 'Fuel', 'No Leaf Clover', 'Judas Kiss', and 'That Was Just Your Life'. Those are probably my favorites to play to or listen to right before a game from Metallica. Creeping Death in particular though because in the bridge you can hear people chanting 'DIE!... DIE!... DIE!' As James says 'DIE! By MY hand! I creep across the land, killing first born man!'. Something about that song just gets me pumped to 'slay bodies'.

Slayer's 'Angel Of Death' and 'Reign in Blood' are great too. Pantera's 'Cowboys From Hell', 'Primal Concrete Sledge', 'Mouth For War', 'Slaughtered', 'Revolution Is My Name', 'Yesterday Don't Mean Sh**', 'We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time', 'Up Lift', '5 Minutes Alone', 'I'm Broken', and 'WALK'. Walk is one of my all time favorite songs PERIOD. Hatebreed has some good battle music and you can pretty much take your pick of any song. Throwdown is another good one.

I feel I should make special mention of this band as I did with Metallica... Amon Amarth is a melodic death metal band from Sweden that makes songs only about vikings and battle, so naturally they're a perfect fit. The first song that comes to mind is 'The Persuit of Vikings' and 'Death in Fire' then 'The Cry of the Blackbirds', 'The Dragon's Flight Across the Waves', 'Without Fear', 'Slaves of Fear', 'Twilight of the Thunder God', 'Gurdians of Asgaard', 'Siegreicher Marsch' (english=Victorious March), 'Across the Rainbow Bridge', 'For Victory or Death', and numerous others. Seeing as they're all about battle they naturally fit. Also it's from the point of view of a viking who reveared battle to be glorious and go into it with no fear, fight hard, and do so until you yourself are gloriously cut down in battle. So yeah, great stuff in my opinion.

I would go on and name many more things, but music was my sole passion before I got into airsoft as well, so to not my my one post seem like a book, I'll leave it at that. 8)

Wow, that is a pretty good list! I love King Nothing!
As for my music that gets me going, I have made 8 or 9 CD's for Jon and from what he tells me they are on an almost constant rotation at SOGO. I listen to everything from vintage Elvis to Chuck Berry to Rammstein and the Battlestar Galactica Soundtrack. Bear McCreary is an excellent composer, and I am glad he is doing the music to Walking Dead even if the show is terrible. Harry Gregson Williams is another one you guys should look into, does a lot of game and movie soundtracks. Also, I gotta say the Five Finger Death Punch's album "war is the answer" has rocked my world for the past couple of months.
Honestly, I could go on all day about the perfect gunfighting soundtrack and there would be many, many great tracks, but I think I have one of the best CD's I have made for SOGO just about finished, so hopefully you guys will get to hear it very soon. It's got everything from Saliva and the Dropkick Murphy's to tracks from the Battle of Britain OST and a couple of Admiral William Adama's best speeches. I think you guys will dig it.

So.... No one here likes Lady Gaga huh? Haha, no. But seriously though, if I were to choose the music it, it'd be somewhere around, yet again, electronic music. We've already gotten Hailey to do it. But Jon likes 4 minutes (and 6 seconds), so it's harder with him. Curse you Jon. Joe and I will get our ways!

I used to watch brittany spears a few years back... before the kid era.

yep. I admit it , I did.  enjoyed it a bit too.

as long as the TV was on Mute , Hahahaha!!!!!

My fav band of all time, has got to be AiC ( That's Alice in Chains) , though, I really don't consider the "new" AiC to be AiC.  May Lane RIP... but his music live forever.
My taste in music, run from classical metal 60 bands, to the present heavy metal and hard rock/alternative musics.
The 80's music... eh.. hit and miss there...
I like Lita Ford's : " Close my eyes Forever", performed with OZZY.  It's an alluring, and haunting song.
I actually like alot of the "big hair band" crap that floated around then...
I went to ALOT of GnR concerts... Skid Row, .. and TESLA one of my favs ( even to this day.).

In the 90's ... I shifted to broaden my musical horizon... when I went and seen White Zombie perform.
http://www.vevo.com/watch/white-zombie/thunder-kiss-65/USIV20200350 Thunderkiss 65 , got me into the "grunge/Alternative" movement...
This was a better WZ song though:

I even started enjoying NiN ( Nine Inch Nails ), some music by the CURE that I hadn't heard much of until the Crow came out... quite a few songs off that soundtrack absolutely rock!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CY0ZjtuHvs
There was also Type O Negative... a dark metal band, more "mainstream" when they hit the shelves... but, it was "different"  , Christian Woman, Black No1, Summer Breeze remake, Blood and Fire, some of my favs by them.
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Blood+and+Fire+Type+O+Negative&view=detail&mid=405A1266B4A565959DE0405A1266B4A565959DE0&first=0&FORM=LKVR1
Old school Smashing Pumpkins, not the crappy slow stuff they produced later on... but like:
http://music.yahoo.com/smashing-pumpkins/videos/view/cherub-rock--53217516

(where as, I discovered I MUST have a thing for tall skinny blonde female bass players, lol. )

From there...  I enjoyed many a bands, too many to mention...

Of course, Metalica in almost every era, I even like some Rage against the Machine,( even though Cornell was a punk),  System of a down, Nirvana ( Courtney killed Kurt I swear it!) ... most heavy metals, .. basically anything with heavy guitars and I slide more towards a "violent" feeling of music.

I like lots of stuff, from mainstream to not.

Musical Inclinations:

I can play many different instruments... mostly guitar and bass I'm the best at, but can play drums, dulcimer, hammer dulcimer, piano, wind organ, banjo, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, ... just to name a few.  I cannot however read music... lol, I'm one of those weird freaks that has what others say "natural talent".  I play by ear mostly.

But.. many, many times... I use this tract to "psyke me up" for airsoft play... It's very old School, but has yet to loose it's charm!

My picks?

Japanese chicks with chipmunky voices who play some mean rock. xD SCANDAL and Stereopony for the win!

Or if it's not my party...the soundtracks of said J-pop, so no "language-racists" get annoyed. xD

And some hit and miss classic rock, heavy metal, and movie/video game soundtracks.

If Dragon and I were to play guitar together it might go something like this......

Funny thing about the episode this is taken from is that Kirk Hemmet from Metallica did the voice over for the old man bar tender and James Hettfield of Metallica did the voice over for the troll. lols

I like me some Devil Wears Prada, but it's just something I listen to. It doesn't make me wanna fight or anything. Their new album 'Dead Throne' is really stripped down and more straight forward metal (even thought it's still not truely metal) than any of their previous stuff. I could play to that album allot easier than their other stuff.

Don't get me wrong though, I like The Devil Wears Prada, it's just got allot going on at times (basically anytime but the breakdowns) and the simpler the music, the more I can focus on gameplay. Like August Burns Red, GREAT band. I thrash out to those guys all the time at work, but I'm paying attention to the song because of how complicated some of the melodies are and I just get really into it. I love that about that band, but I think I would be too distracted by the music to play effectively.

I like how some of you guys are mentioning Dub Step. I remember back when rap and hiphop were really starting to get big(as in almost taking over the entire mainstream music scene). Come to find out that most of these white kids were just buying the music to listen to the beats and blast it in their cars. That's why most hiphop 'artists' are totaly talentless now days, there's no need to be a good lyracist because nobody pays attention to what they're saying anyway. So, they just gave the people what they wanted and BAM, you have dub step. lols. I have a friend at work that just loves the stuff. Being a music lover I'll give anything a shot, but I just can't bring myself to stomach non-stop electronic noise with a beat over it. Allthough I will be honest and admit that one 'artist' has combined dubstep with something I already love, METALLICA! Bassnectar has done allot of Metallica remixes that are decent. I actaully really like his remix of 'Seek and Destroy'. I could play at SoGo to that for sure.
