Tokyo Marui Five-seveN
« on: December 13, 2011, 10:03:37 PM »

So to start off, this gun is by far one of my favorite handguns. Great kick, feel, and gas efficiency are factors. Even though there are a few cons to get used to, once you do, you'll love this piece.

Ok, first things first, shooting report. This thing can go constantly at water bottles and pop cans at 5 meters.( mostly due to legendary tm hopup design   ;) )

Now on to externals. The FN logo was replaced with a tm logo, but pretty dufficult to notice.(from a distance)

There is real steel caliber markings on the slide, and magazine.

On to internals, average(awsome) tm internals, great reliability. Not much else.

Cons: the mag. This is perhaps the biggest con of the whole gun. They are huge, almost like a desert eagle, but slightly bigger.
Compared to tm 1911 government mag..

Another mag issue, if not load pefectly, it CAN jam.

Pros: bigger mag? Better gas capacity.
hard recoil, great sights, good 3 inches of rail.. and much more.

Now this is all i can think of, so if there's any questions, feel free to ask.

Glad you like it Chucky.  Good review for your first one.  I know you were working on a video.  We will help you setup some more light if you need it.

PRO: Standard sidearm for all Colonial Viper pilots aboard Galactica and Pegasus! I seriously want one of these, it's just the price that gets me every time.

When you get the chance, don't think twice. Excellent. If you leave the mags in mag pouches overnight, they start to stretch and fit fine.

The price really isn't too bad from what I remember. Don't they sell for only around $200?

I havn't seen any wear yet,  but i do know what your thinking of. I havnt played with it yet. Going to try to use it with gg only.

And if it ever does, i would eagerly order the gaurder polycarbonite frame for it.

It should be fine if ya stick to green gas.

Alot of those on Ebay, probably propane gassed em, which I read somewhere on a forum, was a big no no with TM pistols, not with-out upgrades.

Recon has a TM desert eagle, thats been on the repair shelf for a year or more, he got the guarder metal slide replacement... it was fine, but one of the little parts on the DE broke, due to excessive force. It was the kit, with the heavy recoil spring system... which makes it kick awesome, but it broke a small part that makes the whole thing a expensive shelf piece.
