Hicap or midcap.....or maybe a mix?

I now own 10, 100 round midcap mags, but I also own 4, 300 round hicaps.  My question is this... Should I run a mix of the two, or just straight mid caps?  I have 8 mag pouches on my vest (I do own an extra Molle pouch with 6 pouches on it, but holy crap its annoying to have mags sticking out that far).  What do you guys run, is there an advantage to just not using hicaps anymore (I dont have an itchy trigger finger, I actually prefer semi to full auto)?

I know back in the day hi caps were only allowed the first 2-3 games you played and then you where required to have low/mid caps. They kept high caps for support roles. I'm not sure if that is still is a rule or not. I would use to your midcaps and have maybe 1 high cap on person for a last mag resort situation.

I would second that comment. I am a firm believer in High Caps being made for support roles and heavy gunners(ie. m60, m249). Besides that i do know of people that carry 1 high cap on there person ... if im not mistaken i had this conversation with JON awhile back in person. He mentioned that he kept 1 high cap on him just for that person that didnt want to call out lol. Like i said i dont remember if it was jon or someone else but its true. You mine aswell carry all the mid-caps and keep one high cap just in case situations arise. Since you have trigger control(unlike myself...i like cover fire let everyone else do the work lol) then you should be totally fine with 100+ round mid-caps think of it this way... you have 3 high caps... im guessing 400 rounds... so 400*3 = 1200... Ill say your mid caps are 130s... so 130*8 = 1040. Thats a difference of 160 rounds but advantage to mid caps... no winding or jingle noises. Once again this is your choice just figured i would hand out a little math and advice.

I was leaning that way, I'll probably bring them all (leave the hi-caps at camp) just in case some type of catastrophic event happens.  However I do like moving without sounding like a baby's rattle toy.

I run strictly Mid-caps. they feel more realistic than clockwork mags when you have to reload your Replica as well as filling a requirement for most Milsim type games.

I do keep my clockwork mags around for those end of the triggerday games where I just don't want to continue filling my Mid Caps. It just makes the day a little easier. I you still want the feeling of reloading just wind the mag with it out of the replica.

I only run mid-caps. Just a better way of playing in my opinion.

I have 9 120 rounders, but I just recently bought several Magpul Pmags. They hold 75 rounds.
They are great since they are single stack mags. No jamming, better feeding and more lightweight
compared to your normal aftermarket mid-cap. (plus they look sweet) I recommend them.

I prefer midcaps, and only use a hi-cap when I don't have time to load all my mids. I run KA VN style 85rnd in my SCAR cause they're nice and compact.
