As most of you know, I'm from Delta 9 out of Northwest Arkansas. We have well over 10 team members but the most active are a group of about 7. 8 if you want to include Joe (we made him and honorary D9 member).
D9 is MilSim for the most part. We still enjoy our occasion skirmishes and such, but most of our money goes to attending and traveling to OPs. From the time I joined in early June 2011 until now, D9 has grown in size, skill, and reputation in the MilSim community.
Being more MilSim we train in movements and formations quite a bit. We've had the pleasure of SA's own Bagel assisting us in just that before OP Broken Home. I myself have participated in some training in urban movement and dynamic entry/room clearing with some members of an Oklahoma SWAT team. Again, I myself do a good deal of 'real steel' (I HATE that term) shooting. My dad being an ex-IPSC competitor imparts a good bit of knowledge of combat handgun shooting to me which I in turn pass on to my team as much as possible. Sometimes D9 is seen as 'mean' or 'agressive', even though we don't intend to come off that way, that's just our playing style. We move fast and push hard to gain the upper hand in any situation possible.
Delta 9 never slaps a role title on any player due to the fact that we all like to change it up. We have 3 members with support weapons and at least that many with DMR's and a couple with GL's that will trade on and off between OPs depending on what they want to do. I myself am geared to run marksman, rifleman, and grenedier. I am usually one of the players on the front charging and pushing hard as it is just more my style and more what my gear is set up for. Also, there is never a specific one person for SQL (squad leader) but it is always one or more of the four admins.
