Everyone, as we know, the California Law proposal, SB798 did not pass it's last House Vote just a few weeks ago.
While every airsofting American, was celebrating a "victory" and breathing a sigh of relief, the JackWagon named, DeLeon , the politician responsible for this fiasco to begin with, got busy re-writing and amending his "proposal" .
The SB798, ( dunno if that's what it is still called officially now, but is what WE know it as unitedly ) ,
now includes MORE of hobbyist interest, such as Paintball, and Air Powered BB guns ( real BB guns, not Airsoft ) , and.. of course... tossed in some Real Steel Fire Arm issues in there as well.
Now, it targets those aspects, AND airsoft.
It is set for a NON PUBLIC Hearing on JULY 5, 2011. ( Wow that's fast right? two weeks after being DENIED, it's back? )
It is obviously a PERSONAL AGENDA of this man, to ruin the above Hobbies and Interest of the American People. Personal agendas, have no place in congress.
Yes, the Man is TRYING to OBLITERATE your God Given RIGHTS as an American Citizen.
I wasn't too "pro-active" in the last SB798 "fight" , I did contact our State Senate, and signed the petitions for the CA people, and sent emails to the listed Congressmen and Politicians listed on the "NO TO SB798 facebook pages.
However, now since DeLeon is making this his personal agenda to steal rights of Americans ( airsoft or not ) , and basically STEALING my federal Tax money to pay himself to do so, ... I simply am not going to stand for it , and now am Joining The People's Army Against SB798 in ANY form it comes in.
Yes, the gloves are coming off. Not holding back my punches anymore.
Now I know many of Sogo and SA guys here, aren't of the legal age to vote, or do much of anything politics wise.
However, your PARENTS are, and they NEED to be involved in this fight to save their rights as US Citizens as well. Show them the Bill. Get them Educated on what' s happening in our Airsoft world, and our lives as it's effected by stupidity like this.
I served my country. It absolutely TICKS ME OFF that I served to fight for American lives, and RIGHTs, only to have the very things I stood for... stripped away from ME, and EVERYONE ELSE that fought for these things, and EVERY CITIZEN we did it for!
Mr. DeLeon has somehow "forgotten" his pledge and EVERY Pledge of the American people of the USA.
It Says, "ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE , WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" !
One NATION Mr.DeLeon. Not, California's nation. Not YOUR personal political agenda to increase your political standings.
One Nation. OUR nation.
I'm sorry to simply rant about this. However, I am very angry about it.
I am not sure what level I am going to take this too political wise, but I know now I have to step up and do something. I never dreamed I would have to get into politics at all, but it looks like I need to make that choice, before it is stripped away from me and everyone else too.
Can't say right now, I know exactly what to do, but not only as a US Citizen do I need to try and do something, as an Airsoft group Admin, a Team Admin, ... I also need to do something to help protect the interest of my fellows and groups as well.
It's simply time to make a stand, and not back down. Period.
