Seeing as apparently no one has been drooling over this gun but me...I figured I'd start up a discussion about the upcoming Magpul PDR (Personal Defense Rifle)

A little background history on the design: A few years ago, Magpul R&D came up with a P90-lookin' thing that took M4 mags and ammo, and had a more traditional integrated pistol grip. They shelved the idea due to what they see as "low demand", but now their PTS team has decided to make an airsoft AEG out of the design!
At the 2012 SHOT Show, Magpul unveiled a working prototype, and said they only had a few minor details to work out, and that they expected it to be for sale by summer 2012. The retail is estimated in the low $300's.

The PDR uses any M4 box mag, although the 30rnd style stick out quite a bit. It features a standard rail on top for mounting optics or iron sights. As it was designed for people used to M4 platforms, the magazine release is actually located above the trigger, which is the first bullpup I know of to have this.
The trigger is both the safety and the fire selector. Similar to the idea of a Glock trigger safety, the PDR requires the user to have their finger completely on the trigger in order to pull it. The selector works like an AUG; pull it halfway back and it's semi, pull it all the way back and it's full auto.
The battery compartment is in the grip, which houses a LiPo battery. The gun will also have an easily accessible hopup and a quick-change spring.
Bottom line, I CAN'T WAIT for this sweet little gun to come out! It bundles everything I love about PDW's with the great logistics of the M4 magazine!
