Polls like this need multiple options, hehehe....

I actually like a combo of colors.

Our team's official Uniform is Digi-woodland or DCU.  Our vest gear color varies between taste.  Chad seems to favor all OD green for that. Cody likes his smoke gray vest with Multicam and coyote brown pouches.

For a while, I had been stuck with an ACU plate carrier, which didn't match any of my other gear.  So Even though it's predominantly ACU , I started trying to stick other colors on it.

Before the PC ( and hot weather) I had used a simple Load Bearing suspenders/belt rig, which was black.

Most folks scoff at black, cause it does make ya stand out quite a bit in most environments.  But my original plan was to do a combo of OD Green and Black on my load out.
The issue was, I couldn't find enough ALICE compatible gear that wasn't TAN/Desert colors to complete the set up. ( not affordable or not damaged anyways.).

But I custom painted my helmet, which was black and I added OD green skull front, and my call sign on the back. If needed, I can drop a cover on it for any other scheme, but I rather like the paint job. :)
I really want one of the Delta 2 Style helmets though, probably going to get a black one... as the tan and green ones just don't look right to me.

On the uniforms... I have lost some of my gear to keeping it in storage. Rats , possums, some sort of animal that chews holes... got into my box, tunneled in and made a shredded nest of my desert BDUs, and my black BDU top.
What I was left with was, my Woodland BDU sets, I have quite a few of those because I was in the Army, and that is what I was issued, or bought. ( yes I'm older.)  Along with those, Cody gave me a digi woodland top.  I had somehow saved my black BDU pants.

Sometimes I mix and match what I have... especially in SOGO's because in there... nothing really seems to blend it well. I even noticed Urban night DCU on the 51/50 guy that it looked like a black blob when playing in there anyways, unless you were right on him.

Out on the field, I like to match up a bit better.

Eventually, I'll complete my digi woodland, for the team colors when we go somewhere and are green sided.
I plan on digi-desert load out for tan... but I am going to do a PMC style tan/black load out as well.
Also, I really like the German Tropical/desert flectarn, which for desert environments, in my opinion works the best ... even beating out digi schemes. That is strictly my opinion though.

I dislike Multi-cam myself. I do have some MC gear, a tac vest and I swiped a few pistol mags from to put on my PC. Over-all though, it's probably a good camo, but I just don't like it's price... nor do i think it works all that well in most environments.
Same with RealTree ... ( the redneck cammo !) ... it works in very specific environments, not generally everywhere.

ACU... looks odd to me, if you aren't all ACU.  ACU works pretty darn good in most environments where light and shadows play against the prying eyes. It's actually not designed to blend in with the environment, as much as it is to fool the shades of light your eyes pick up on. Reducing profile at a distance.  Standing out in the bright open, in the middle of a green field, of course it isn't going to do anything for ya.
Even so, I'm considering on getting a set at some point just to try out.

I have a OD green PC now, just not much for pouches for it yet.  I could rip the stuff off my ACU PC and put it on there, I just think it'd be functional, but look silly.

I'd rather continue my black and OD green scheme with it... but I'll have to see what's in my budget as well.  I still need a good amount of gear to make me happy, and I am co-running our field down here, so I have to budget for that as well.

So all in all... I like lots of colors.  I'm not too partial to desert/tan load outs ( mostly because it just doesn't work in our environments here to well. ) , but I need some for the times my team gets stuck on the side required to wear em.

ok, tired of writing this book, lol!

Right now I've got the M81 woodland BDUs and DCUs because they're not very expensive, and replacing them wont cost too much.  I'd like to get to solid OD and tan uniforms with the ACU cut, but those cost money.

As for the gear, up until Christmas I was using Army issued LBV-88s with a pistol belt.  That held six magazines and was low profile so I really liked it.  Most recently however, I have gotten a coyote tan plate carrier.  I went with coyote because it goes pretty well with everything, and most chances are that something in your AO is going to be dead with a tan or brown color to it.  I've got the capability to hold 10 mags on my PC, although I only have 7.  The people I ordered from sent me the wrong pouch and it was going to cost more to send it back than it was to order it, so I ordered the rest of my stuff from somebody else.  I've also got the ability for 100 oz of water on my back in a hydration carrier, which also has pockets so I can carry some small knick-nacks.  Next on the list of things to get is some replica SAPI plates to make the carriere more rigid.

As for a wish list, the only thing I might want is a chest rig to be a little more sneaky in, but thats about it for gear.  I'd rather order a new gun, radio, or something to that effect first.

Flecktarn. Nuf said.
Just got my G36 pouches in so I can take my Low-Caps into the field. Problem is that belt has very limited space.
I amm looking for a Fleck hydration carrier but they are apparently hard to find.
German gear is cheap for the most part. and it looks good.

I have Woodland camo for when Im required to wear US Camo and im going to get an ALICE thingy from Nam era to wear for gear.
I have an old MOLLE battle belt with multiple Black pouches that i no longer care for cause MOLLE is lame and black is dumb.

Formally known as Delt.

Even though Ive been in the army 5 years I think the best is the old Bdu's and the marine digital woodland.
It is what i use. Other the straight all out black for night ops. LOL

Lol,
My wife just commented, I have enough of a set up on gear already, that if zombie-apocalypse broke out, it would serve me well.  ::)

I suppose she's right, zombies don't care about color schemes.

Well what I saw at the last outdoor event on SGTU Cody's land . . . ACU makes you stand out like a sore thumb, multi-cam works great if you know how to make it blend, the old woodland BDUs work great almost anywhere and the USMC woodland MARPAT will make you disappear if youre laying down

ACU and Multi-cam both need to be used properly or you stick out badly.  I think ACU actually plays off light and shadows better... but it really depends on the environment too.
Multi-cam is better for brown, red clay, and dead foliage areas ... possibly even desert as well.

Digi woodland/marpat I think makes a person look darker than their surroundings, obvious profile display.  Especially when moving ( 85% of airsoft is moving around. ) , it stands out.

I think my fav has to be old BDU woodland as far as cammo goes.  It works almost anywhere, can be used in several terrain types.  Still has the distance/movement issues other cammo does.

Flecktarn since I've observed Delt in it a few times, isn't a bad cammo... even in the fall/winter.
