And i guess i was manily asking because every time i go into sogo some one makes fun of my camo type and frankly i think its funny but still it cant hurt to ask right???
Well,
That shouldn't be happening...
I think any camo options in Sogos ( or anywhere), is a nice step up from Civi type clothing. ( Unless going contractor look, or like our famous INDY character, lol. )
To me, at least considering camo options, means you are putting a slight thought toward the game, and wearing something designed to take punishment over street clothes.
Some of our D-9 guys, have ripped their civi blue jeans in Sogos, just playing...
Not saying that I'd never wear them in Sogos either... if I felt like it, thats what i'd be wearing.
I had folks scoffing at me a few years back as well. ( and maybe still... , I tend not to pay attention to the odd looks anymore.)
I was on a field of die-hard MilSimmers, they had KWA M4s, all the bells and whistles.
I had my JG g36 , my simple black alice belt set up, and I wore my swat bottoms ( black) with a off cammo t-shirt.
Needless to say, they laughed at me, and my gear.
I almost left because of it... but I decided to just keep at it, cause my love for airsoft was greater than my need to feel pride.
By the end of the day though... those that were being jerks, were very surprised to find out I was ex-military, and impressed with my "chepo AEG" ... of such I hung in neck and neck with the best of them out there that day. They reconsidered every aspect about me, and players like me.
Not only did I earn their respect that day... many went back and started putting together their own " scavenger" contractor look.
Since then, I got over what people "judged" me by, and stopped caring about if I didn't make the grade, or be "realistic" in gear placement.
I found what works for me... mostly. It's a continual "learning" that is ongoing I think.
I don't think it's nice to poke fun at people for their gear and what they got.
The only bad players I've ever met, were players that cheated, or broke rules, or bent them to degree that was unacceptable. None of that had to do with GEAR itself, as these players were fully outfitted with nice things.
Never was it ever a "bad player" based on their gear choices.
