Hi, my name is James and I recently moved to Springfield about two months ago. After having bought a gun from my brother which he had placed a new spring in and messed up the simulated bolt and myself not liking to touch internals I took the gun to sogo. They then instructed me that if I was looking for a team to play with (which i am) that I should register on this site. I do not consider myself a vet but I mostly play outdoor games mainly milsim I really do not enjoy cqb but given the right group I may re-consider my stance on it. What I am looking for is a group that gets together at least once every 2 weeks. Anyways a little bit about me I am an aircraft painter I am in the business of painting military helicopters out at the mo-avcrad at the airport. I have a lot of free time on my hands to play so I would very much like to join up with some of you guys and play!

Welcome Blue, most of the regular play in the area occurs at Sogo, but we do hold outdoor events as we can schedule them. Plenty of solid players around here, love to have you out sometime!

Hey James welcome.  I saw that you had stopped by the store today.  I guess you met my wife and Stormy(the white huskey)  You are correct about playing with the right group of guys in a CQB setting.  It helps alot.  You will find that group here as you attend any of the games, indoor or outdoor.  Would love to have you out for either one for sure.

Stop by our Springfield location sometime and we will get you up to date on what is going on and where.

And that goes for everybody.  And again welcome.

Well,

I'm back again. I had originally joined the site a few years back, and was just planning to meet the group then for the first time when everything here "imploded". I remember seeing the site get passed to other members, but I had gotten busy with managing my own airsoft site, which became quite popular. My goal at that time was to move up from the "chairsofter" ranks, and actually get into some games. That never came to be, unfortunately.

Since then I've been dealing with job-loss from the economic crunch, and just an overall loss of interest in the airsoft "hobby". I had to sell off my prized custom PTW to make a mortgage payment, and never really got over that.  :'(

I work and play primarily in the IT field, but in the last few months, I've been spending more time rekindling my airsoft interests. I visited the SoGo store in Ozark a couple years back, when I think I bought an M90 spring to try and downgrade one of my guns to meet the CQB limits. I can't remember where that spring ended up...

Anyway, at 42, I'm not sure if I'm actually going to make that transition from hobbyist to player, as the time constraints of work and family doesn't leave a lot of "free" time these days, but maybe you guys can convince me. I've harassed Jon many a time over Skype, but have yet to meet him face to face. We will see what happens during round 2 at Springfield Airsoft!

My name is Jed meadows, I have been shooting paint at others in scenerio events since for the past 7 years, 4 of which was done as a ref at my brothers paintball field, or at my own.  In the past 2 years myself and 10 oters from my hometown have gotten into airsoft. I love the sport, shooting at others has been something iv been quite good at. If any of you made it to COIN OPS at battle creek, I was the guy running around with the Obama mask! I'm fun, I'm good, I'm a team player and I do like to win, but I despise cheating! I would like to join a team in Springfield area, I have skills and the weapons to execute them, so please message me if you would like to give me the opportunity to tryout. I am 19, can drive anywhere, and do not live with mommy! Thanks for reading my post.

Fully licensed king arms m4 (with non lethal parts from my real AR 15)
